15-Year-Old Charice Pempengco on The Ellen Degeneres Show

by Maricar on December 20th, 2007

Young Filipina singer Charice Pempengco appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show on December 19. She’s all of 15 years old and she was brought to the U.S. all the way from the Philippines to appear on Ellen’s show (her first time in the U.S.!).

You have to hear her!

The second song just blew me away! Not many people can do that song well. What an amazing voice! And she’s got some stage presence too! She’s definitely gonna make it BIG!

You can also watch the first song, with better graphics, on the show’s website.

thanks to Glo for the tip!

I love Charise’ voice. We have so many child singers in the Philippines who sound like adults but Charise’s more blessed because she received training at early age. hope you can also feature arnel pineda the vocalist of The Zoo who was discovered through You Tube also. He is now the lead singer of the great rock band Journey and doing an album with the rest of the band. Love his voice, too.

charice has a really nice voice. i’m proud for her. Hope Ellen or any talent agent in the usa can check out one of our singers in the Philippines, whose name is Jed Madela. I don’t have to say more about this person. Just watch it for yourself and you can really say that this person is gifted with a beautiful voice.

    > After five episodes of So You Think You Can Dance, a dance contest which started in the US, Australia’s top 20 dancers were finally revealed. The judges had to audition thousands of excellent dancers in Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney and had to initially select 100. After gruelling elimination rounds, the top 20 dancers were now identified and it includes our very own Pinay, Demi Sorono. She is a hip-hopper, break-dancer immigrant from the Philippines.
