Filipina Soul

Las Islas Filipinas: 7,107 islands and I’ve only been to 5 of them on official business trips. So I guess traveling and going on a real holiday is not on the average Filipino’s budget list.

Yes I can’t swim, but I can wade in the water. I love going to the beach wearing my bathing suit under a pair of shorts and a loose t-shirt. I bask under the sun with a big towel over my head.

I love singing and I can sing to every song played over the radio. (I can even write down the lyrics for you as well!)

Yes I was born Catholic but I don’t speak Spanish.
Yes I shampoo my hair everyday and take a bath at least twice a day.

I’ve seen most of Jackie Chan movies, I’m crazy about most Hollywood stars and Gone with the Wind is my favorite love story of all time. I’ve seen the movie twice and read the book five times.

I’m a hopeless romantic. I cry at every love story and love song I can relate to and I promised myself I’ll take a tour of Europe at least before I die.

I probably have a bit of Chinese or Japanese blood running in my veins. I understand a bit of Spanish (some words are incorporated in my dialect) and speak American English. And I only have a rich history to blame for that.
