PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo survived attempts by the opposition to impeach her after the House of Representatives voted on Tuesday to dismiss all three complaints that were filed against her.

While the congressional hearing is proceeding, investors are adopting a cautious stance.

“Fact remains she is the best option of our country. There is no suitable alternative to Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo,” Speaker Jose De Venecia said.

The pro-impeachment group may not agree to this, but I think these are vultures waiting for the vacant presidential seat so they can land themselves in power to serve each one’s vested interests and political agendas. So they can put Erap back in power? Most probably!

Whoever is “remote-controlling” the Philippine government (if any) is doing everything in its power to prevent Erap Estrada (and the likes of him) away from the Presidency. I guess they just do not want us to be the “laughing stock” of the whole world once again. And I couldn’t agree more.
