Lanzones Festival

If you check out WOW Philippines’ Calendar of Events, you’ll notice that we seem to be a country that can’t get enough festivities. Amongst the many, there are only a few that catches my attention, including Lanzones Festival at Camiguin Island: 20-24 October 2005.

And I’ve always thought that Laguna is Lanzones province!

Oh my gosh!! We just discovered this fruit in Vietnam this past month and LOVE IT. It’s called bon bon in Vietnamese and langsat in other places. My Filipino-American friend and I were going around town trying to figure out what "bon bons" were and finally found them. "Ah ha!" she said. "Those are lanzones!"

thanks for the info lei. I’ve only been in the south of vietnam (Omon) for 2 nights…most of the day spent on the road en-route to HCM city, i’m ashamed to say that I never even had the chance to check the market or even change the $$ I had to dongs.
