A Fresh Start

It’s a bit awkward taking over someone else’s spot. It’s nothing quite like birthing my own blog, where all ideas are originally mine and mine to take anywhere I choose. This time, I’m replacing someone who’s done a remarkably great job at this site. So I’m a little timid at first because of course, Gloria has her set of fans and regular readers. And you’re like “Grace? Who’s she? I thought the name was Gloria?!”

So I say – give this new author a try, will ‘ya? If nothing else let this be a fresh breath to FILIPINA SOUL. If you’re either Filipino or in love with one, we’re kindred-kababayans. We’re in this together and the success of this blog highly depends on readers like you, both Gloria’s fans and the occasional ones who visit.

Well, we’re here to have fun, so I’m jumping in right where Gloria took off, ok?

Go right ahead, and welcome, Grace. I am not Filipino or married to one, but I have become very attached to this blog and learning about the amazing culture in the Phillipines. There is nowhere else like it. :) Thanks so much for being here, Grace, and please, make yourself at home!

    Thanks Christina.
like Gloria mentioned in her earliest entries, one of our nicer cultural qualities is our “irresistable charm” (HAHAHAH!) So we’ll try to live up to that.

    Hi Grace!

I happen to be a Filipino, so the stuff in this blog are close to my heart. Have fun blogging! It’s nice to share our culture with other people. Afterall Filipinos will someday rule the world!! (evil world domination laugh) But seriously, it’s happening! Every country you go to has a bunch of Filipinos!
