Miss Universe
Hubby sang a song for me on Mother’s day, and I just had to share this with you…
It’s a really corny but nostalgic song.. (by the Hotdogs, circa 1994)
Lost in Translation (as well as I can):
You’re the Miss Universe of my life / How many times do I tell you / In your arms there is no despair / My joy is beyond compare/ You’re the Miss Universe of my life
You’re the Miss Universe of my life / How many times do I tell you / My headaches are gone / In your arms, my sorrows are gone / You’re the Miss Universe of my life
I don’t care to look at other women / I get cross-eyed and bankrupt with them anyway / And as the old folks say / Be careful young lovers / Beauty and luck don’t last /
You’re the Miss Universe of my life / How many times do I tell you/ It’s so clear to me, now and forever / You’re the Miss Universe of my life / You’re the Miss Universe of my life /
——
In case you know my hubby… Nah, he didn’t sing it solo. All the men sang to their wives, and gave fairy crowns to honor us, as the Miss Universe of their lives. Sweet!
