A Filipino Project Runway?
I’m a huge fan of Project Runway. In fact, I just got off the TV, watching the latest episode (which made me sad watching one of my favorite contestants go 
). But I got thinking…
American Idol has a Philippine counterpart. Pinoy Dream Academy takes after popular reality TV shows. Would there be a future for a Pinoy Project Runway?
The Filipino fashion world is difficult to break into. We’ve had icons Pitoy Moreno and Patis Tesoro to lead the way for years. And yes, new designers come into the national focus every once in a while. But I believe there are scores of talented designers just waiting to be discovered!
Maybe there’s a show in the works, who knows? Will you watch it if there ever was a Filipino Project Runway? Who are your picks for host and judges? And who’s going to be the mentor ala-Tim Gunn?
