Scrapbooking Takes Off in the Philippines

I’m a weekend scrapbooker and have enjoyed this hobby for many years now. In recent years, scrapbooking has taken off in the Philippines and has attracted many who want to preserve and showcase their family’s photos. While materials used to be scarce, several retailers now cater specifically to scrapbookers. Even the big stores like National Bookstore have aisles that contain various products and tools.
A group of ladies (whom I’m proud to know) are spearheading the effort to increase interest in this hobby. Scrappin’ Moms is composed of 4 lovely ladies whose passion is to scrapbook and to infect others with the scrapbooking bug. Joanne, Mia, April and Sienna are now practically celebrities who make the rounds of talk shows in the Philippines. They teach, encourage and inspire others to create beautiful pages.
Their website is newly revamped and includes an e-zine called Scrapbytes. It has a wealth of knowledge about scrapbooking techniques and sources of products in the Philippines. Check them out and let them know I sent you!
