Lovapalooza in Manila Breaks Kissing Record
Pucker up!
This past weekend, 6,124 kissing couples in Manila broke the world record for “Most Couples Kissing in One Event”! The event was called the Lovapalooza and took place at the parking lot of the Mall of Asia by Manila Bay.
The Philippines held the record in 2004, with 5,239 couples. It was taken by Hungary in 2005, with 5,875. To drum up participation to Lovapalooza 2007, Unilever Philippines released this TV commercial:
Our loving countrymen rallied to once again take the record!
A total of 6,124 couples kissed simultaneously for at least 10 seconds in a parking lot outside a Manila shopping mall, said Albert Almendralejo, producer of Lovapalooza.
A team of independent auditors were present to verify the number of people taking part in the event.
You can watch the event below, hosted by real-life sweethearts Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos. If you listen closely, you’ll even catch Ryan whispering “I love you, too, Babe” around 2 minutes into the video. Sweet!

That would be a good idea to pitch for uniting the politicians of the Philippines. Kiss and make up or should I say Kiss and make out to end all the petty bickering about who can run the country better. Kiss, unite and lead the country out of the pathetic situation it is in right now.
