I was just at the bookstore and ooooh(!) if there was a cookbook that enticed me, this is it!

AJ Tabaldo - he does look Filipino, doesn’t he?
This American Idol Season 6 top-12 male finalist confesses he is an “ethnic mutt” - part Filipino, part Spanish French, Italian and Chinese.
His last name is a definite give-away to his Filipino roots.

Unfortunately for Filipinos, this anecdote is all too true.

Sister Y of Chowhound reviews DJ Bibingkahan’s Carson branch and describes it as “Filipino food that moved me“. She had some chicken on a skewer, roast pork and laing. Here’s how she described the experience:
After my horrible day (one of my colleagues ended up fired, if that tells you the kind of day it was) […]

There’s the culture barrier and shock, being torn away from eveything familiar and comfortable, and starting anew. And then there’s […]

Wow, I thought this was just talk… but not being present in the Philippines I may be the last to know about this. Still, it shocked and dismayed me that boxer Manny Pacquiao is really running for Congress in the first district of Cotabato.
Read this editorial by the Cagayan de Oro Sun Star:
If Pacquiao were […]
