“Bugtungan tayo!” Series 2 (Filipino riddles)

We’re off to a great start! :-) We started a new series here called Bugtungan Tayo !/Filipino riddles.

So, now here’s series #2 of Filipino Riddles (Bugtong):

  1. Paghihaw, pagsenyas, tama sa oras
  2. Nang munti’s may tapis, nang lumaki ay bulislis
  3. Ha-bilog, ha-pandak, ha-mata, ha-dilat
  4. Balat berde, buto itim, laman pula, turingin mo kung sino siya.

Every Wednesday I will post a few Filipino riddles (mga bugtong Pilipino) and have you guess them. I’ll provide answers by the next Wednesday.

BUT – you also can post your riddles and have everyone else guess them. Either email them to me or post them in the comments, whichever you like. Of course credit goes to you but you have to supply the correct answers as well.

Here are last week’s answers to Bugtungan Series #1 (Filipino riddles):

1. Dalawang pinitpit na suman, nagmula sa puklo at hindi sa baywang; mag-ingat ka katawan at baka ka mahubuan. – PANTALON

2. Isang pamalo-palo, libot na libot ng ginto.- MAIS

3. Ang amain kong buo’y may kapatid na babae; ngunit siya naman ay hindi ale. Sino siya? – INA

4. Matanda na ang nuno hindi pa naliligo. – PUSA

(My apologies to those who can’t understand Tagalog; I tried translating but it didn’t work for me… so call-out to Tagalog speaking readers to please help?)

    it really helped my brother on his assignments..

    and give examples of it??
