You probably noticed that I (Grace) have been writing less in the past two weeks…(oh, and if you haven’t.. uhmmm… now you know!)
So I just want to let you know I’m still here and breathing, but I am taking a breather and catching up on my health. Nothing serious really. I hope to be back in some shape next week and really finding a better schedule for me.

Our Miss Universe contestant Anna Theresa Licaros didn’t make it to the top 15 of the pagaent. But she will still be able to bring home an honor.
Theresa is this year’s Miss Photogenic! Looks like our countrymen all over the world have once again shown their support and solidarity to make sure our Miss Philippines wins this prize. Congratulations, Theresa!

Are you watching? The Miss Universe Pagaent is on right now. And of course, I’m cheering on our very beautiful and smart Anna Theresa Licaros. The short introduction of each candidate has started. I didn’t get much chance to see Theresa except for about 2 seconds. But I hope she bags some of the honors tonight!

Started by a meme from Macalua and found via the Alleba blog, I thought we (FS readers and writers) might want to participate on why you feel these days…
It’s just feels great to be Pinoy!

Did your hgh school ever have those annual science fairs where you’re forced to think of an experiment, make poster boards and strut your research for all to see? My high school was big on that. But for the love of my profession, I can not remember what I did for my science fair project! Which probably tells me how simple/poor it was.
So I was superbly impressed with this group of Filipino students who went on to win awards at the world’s largest pre-college science competition.

Filipino director Brillante “Dante” Mendoza’s “Foster Child” received a 10-minute standing ovation at the Festival de Cannes Directors’ Fortnight. The special section of the festival is aimed at recognizing the best work of directors from all over the world.
The film, which stars Cherry Pie Picache, Eugene Domingo, Jiro Manio, Kier Segundo, Alwyn Uytincgo and Dan Alvaro, is about a poor foster family and a 3-year-old boy placed in their care. It is produced by Seiko Films’ Robbie Tan.
