New blogs to discover
Problogger’s recent Group Writing Project has been a goldmine of new blogs for me, not just for my other blogs (about superheroes, and about influenza) but also for Filipina Soul. Alas, I can only count a handful of submitted posts about the Philippines, although I can’t say how many Filipino bloggers participated.
However, there’s one post “Top 5 Filipino Bloggers” by Jaypee Habaradas that brought my attention to new blogs that I’d like to share with you as well. Jaypee is a Filipino living in California and his blog is a discovery to me as well.
Here are Jaypee’s five:
Christine Gambito of Happy Slip. We mentioned her here a couple of times; one of her vlog was voted best commedy on YouTube.
Abe Olandre of Yugatech. Who doesn’t know Abe? He’s a professional blogger, a blog consultant, owns a web-hosting company and one of the (if not the) father of Philipine blogging.
Manuel L. Quezon III of Manuel L. Quezon III (yes, I would think he’s the descendant of The great President… unless he got the name from someone else).
Michelle Malkin of Michelle Malkin. Rated by Forbes magazine and The Week magazine as one of the best political blogs in 2005.
Bryan Veloso of Avalonstar. I’m not familiar with this blog (or blogger) yet, and it seems the website has been under construction in recent past. So if anyone of you know more about Bryan or Avalonstar, I would love a comment.
If you know a post, a blog or a blogger that you think might interest us, do email and we will look it up.

Hi Grace! Thanks for link love!
Regarding Avalonstar: Bryan Veloso, the man behind the blog is a well-known blogger/designer. He has worked for Facebook and Automattic and designed Flock browser’s website. He now runs his own company Revyver.
Btw, would you mind doing a link exchange?
Hello!
I’d like to recommend http://www.averagejuana.wordpress.com
In her “Fine Print” section, the writer promises to keep her identity anonymous to keep relatively objective about her topics (which are beauty reviews and consumer awareness issues).
Very informative po and she there are always links to support her observations.
