This grandma can teach you how to wear a g-string
When I first saw the title, it really was ‘Rocking grandma teaches youths to wear G-string’.
How would you like that? I got curious of course, especially since this grandmother was a Filipino. I just had to read the article.
It’s all about Leonora San Agustin, a 92-year old curator who recently wrote a book detailing the proper wearing of this kind of G-string -

According to grandma Leonora’s book, there is a way of wearing the Igorot G-string, to properly cover and stabilize the necessary body parts. Apparently, many folk dance troupes are in a quandary about how to sling and knot the long vestment correctly.
Of course, this is not the only content of Leonora San Agustin’s book, which was titled “The Traditional Attires of the Igorot Tribes”.
The many costumes and music instruments featured in the book are now displayed at the Baguio-Mountain Provinces Museum , a handsome structure on Governor Pack Road. The museum is an important repository of things Cordilleran and it is a pity that very few lowland visitors ever muster the energy or find the time to drop in.
