SexyMom, you should definitely try durian! if you can get past the initial smell, then the taste is worth it.

It’s an acquired taste. I’m not too fond of it myself, and I’m Filipino. There is a version that doesn’t have an embryo in it. It’s called penoy, and it’s all yolk and white, quite like a regular hard-boiled egg.

truth is, i enjoyed watching that man eat his balut for the first time. i guess nowadays, it’s the psychological factor that is into eating balut for the first time. maybe, if i were the first time that i would eat balut, i would feel the same. it’s like perhaps eating fresh durian for the first time. no, i have not eaten durian yet.

since i was little, i have eaten balut, so for me it is already ordinary fare.
