Sample the ‘best’ of travel and culture, b5media-style

This week we round out the theme day at b5media’s Travel and Culture Channel and bloggers gave their best to write the ‘best of’ their blog’s interests.

From Melissa at Europe String comes The Best in Budget Traveling, with a list of suggestions for FREE entertainment, transportation, lodging and more. FREE is very easy on the budget!

Jon at The DC Traveler tell us about The Best restaurant in the DC area, Lebanese Taverna. Turns out that the area’s restaurant association agrees with his assessment, selecting the restaurant as the People’s Favorite.

Another round up of goodies, this time from Lynn at The Paris Traveler, giving us The Best Of. . . ., a compendium of her choices of the best Paris has to offer in a variety of categories. Don’t head for Paris without checking this list.

The Seattle Traveler’s post, Backyard Sanctuary Program Helps Keep Washingon one of the Best Places to Live, details Mary Jo’s experience with a wonderful program that allows residents to do their part to reduce habitat destruction.

SP at Southern Byways brings us the Best of. . . Kentucky Loves Colonel Sanders, with a post about the south’s love affair with Kentucky Fried Chicken. SP is right — we’ve probably all tried it!

Mary Jo again at Flyaway Cafe explains why Ishe think her job is the best,  So You Want to be a Flight Attendant?  It’s not glamorous or sexy, like you see in the movies, but it’s a lot of fun and suits her well.

Alex at Sirened gets us thinking with the question What is the Best Politician Money Can Buy? It’s election season here in the US (isn’t it always?), so this timely post should give you lots to mull over.

And here at Filipina Soul, I tell about The Best of the Philippines — It’s Natural Wonders. From the list of examples, both above and below the ground, hope you can feel the love for our homeland in every word that I wrote.
