Back from Oregon
I’m back from a fun trip to Oregon’s coast! It was my first time there, and my first time to fly with a toddler by myself. The little one did relatively well, even on the red-eye flight on the way back. We were able to spend time with extended family, and even got to do this (so much fun!), and see this (minus the sea lions inside). I also got to stare wistfully at the Pacific Ocean (imagine, the Philippines is right across that body of water! hehe). It was too cold for a swim, though, so I had to content myself with taking in deep breaths of the salty air.
What did I miss while I was there? Rice! Yup. We needed to have our fix of rice, of course. Even my relatives where hankering for some by the second day. We did get some at a Chinese restaurant (no Filipino restos where we were). Next time I travel, I think I’ll bring along some boxes of 5-minute microwaveable rice. But that will be some time away since this is most probably my last extended trip this year. After the Philippines, Disney World, and Oregon, I think I’ve put away enough miles to last me till next year.
