OK, on to Episode 60 :

While Ju Mong and his trios are searching for Soseono, Chansoo and his men are seen by Biryu solider who surround them and attack them. Chansoo is about to be slashed by an enemy, when a dart knife flies out from somewhere killing the enemy. Next, Ju Mong and his trios show up to save Chansoo’s group, and Chansoo leads Ju Mong to Soseono. Sayong asks how Ju Mong is here, and Hyeopbo explains what happened. Sayong then asks Chansoo if he’s got the medicine he asked for and Chansoo hands it to Sayong. Ju Mong orders the trio to go and be watchful of Songyang’s men, while he watches as Sayong puts medicine on Soseono who is unconscious. Meanwhile, Songyang is getting impatient and furious that Soseono has not been found, and Songyang orders his general to prepare their army to attack Gyeru at once. His general says they are not ready, but Songyang orders him to prepare the army right away.

jumong-episode-60aSoseono awakes and notices Ju Mong there. Chansoo says if it weren’t for chief commander Ju Mong they may not have been able to save Soseono, and Soseono thanks Ju Mong. Just then Mari comes with news that Songyang’s army is moving. Ju Mong tells them they need to hurry and escort Soseono out. Ju Mong tells Sayong to take Soseono back to Gyeru, and wait for him and the Damul army to come to their aid, and to not do anything until they come, and Sayong agrees. Next Ju Mong and his trio take off toward the Damul army, while Sayong hurries and takes Soseono back to Gyeru to heal her. Ju Mong and Oh-ma-hyeop return to Bongae and Mari tells Jae-moo-mook that although Soseono failed in her assassination attempt she got rid of many of Biryu’s soldiers. Ju Mong says they will have to assassinate the Han army who’ve joined Songyang’s army since that will be a big blow to Songyang, and the trios prepare for action.

Chansoo and Sayong take Soseono back to Gyeru and Sayong asks Yeontabal to fetch a medical man at once, as Soseono suffered a big wound during the attack. The physician comes and says Soseono has too many wounds to treat. Next, Sayong tells Yeontabal, Yeonchaeryeong and Yangtak that Ju Mong has agreed to help them and asked them not to do anything until the Damul army arrives in Gyeru, thus Yeontabal tells Sayong to get their army ready for Ju Mong’s order. Meanwhile, in Buyeo palace, Mawuryeong returns from her trip to Shijo mountain upon meeting Bigeumseon oracle, and Geumwa asks if there’s a cure for his ailment, and Mawuryeong shows him the sacred water given to her by Bigeumseon, and tells Geumwa they should do a holy shrine with the sacred water to see if that will cure his facial mark. Thus, a shrine is held, and Mawuryeong wipes the holy water on King Geumwa, and suddenly Mawuryeong cries out and says Geumwa’s mark has disappeared. Geumwa then talks to Mawuryeong afterwards, and she tells him according to Bigeumseon, the owner of Damul bow has taken the bow away, and Geumwa asks who that is, and Mawuryeong says he knows that person well too.

The steel army of Han nation are headed toward Gyeru, while Mopalmo leads a group of Damul army in the outskirts of Gyeru to bury their explosives in the grounds. Ju Mong and the Damul await for Han’s soldiers to pass by, and when Ohyi runs to Ju Mong to tell him the soldiers are near, Ju Mong orders his men to wait for the soldiers to come into their trap, and prepare for attack then. When the steel army pass through Ju Mong’s trap, Ju Mong and his men begin shooting their fired arrows toward the ground where the explosives are buried, and while the enemy is in disarray Ju Mong and his men follow their attack by shooting arrows at them and slashing their swords at them. When the Han army tries to retract, Ju Mong goes before them with his bow and arrow and shoots them down one by one.

jumong-episode-60bSongyang is about to depart Biryu with his men, when a general runs in and tells him the Han army that went first were eliminated by Ju Mong and the Damul army, and at this Songyang is appalled. Meanwhile, Ju Mong and the Damul army arrive in Gyeru, and are welcomed by shouts of hooray from Gyeru people. Yeontabal tells Ju Mong Gyeru has been saved by Damul army. Ju Mong says from now on Damul army and Gyeru are one body. Ju Mong then asks about chief Soseono, and is told that she has yet to regain consciouness. Ju Mong appeared worried, and Sayong leads him to see her by the bedside. Sayong tells the sleeping Soseono that Damul army got rid of the arriving Han army, and now that Ju Mong is here she should open her eyes. In Hyeonto fort, Yang Jeong is furious and asks Songyang what he was doing while Ju Mong was killing the Han soldiers, and Songyang apologizes, but Yang Jeong tells him to stop with the excuse and asks how he can be responsible for the 2000 Han soldiers they lost. Songyang asks for another chance for redemption, but Yang Jeong says the Han nation has already sacrified too much and if Songyang won’t pay for their loss then they will attack Biryu next.

Daeso and the Buyeo army arrive by the foot of Bongae mountain, and Naro reports to Daeso only the elderly and youngin are left in Bongae, and that even the migrants are gone. Daeso says this means Ju Mong must have moved the migrants and Daeso is angry. Naro asks Daeso for direction on what to do next, and Daeso says they should go and kill the elderly and the children and set the Damul base on fire. Bubunno is dismayed and says they are only elderly and children left, but Daeso says the children will grow up to be Damul soldiers one day thus they need to be eliminated too. Bubunno tries to talk Daeso out of such cruel deed, but Naro tells him to be quiet and just follow order instead. Thus, while the remaining few Damul soldiers prepare to move the elders and children, the Buyeo army arrives and begins slaughtering all the remaining Damul people. Bubunno watches in disgust as Daeso and his soldiers violently slash and behead the helpless childen, the elderly and the women, in a blind rage.

jumong-episode-60cGeumwa is resting in his palace, and remembers what Mawuryeong told him about the owner of Damul bow, and Geumwa feels restless, thus he calls for Songju and orders him to go and find the remaining records of old Joseon that they have in Buyeo, and upon hearing about this, Majin runs to Yeongpo and tells him the king is looking for the records that Yeongpo has touched. Yeongpo wonders why he is suddenly looking for these dusty records that were sitting there for decades, and Majin says he doesn’t know, and Yeongpo tells Majin to go and find Master Cheon right away since he has the records now, but Majin finds out Master Cheon has already left Buyeo. Yeongpo then goes to tell the guardian of the palace library not to say anything about Yeongpo touching them. Next, Songju brings the guardian to Geumwa and tells him the records cannot be found. Geumwa says he once saw the records himself many decades ago and the guardian says he’s only been a guardian for a little over a decade thus he does not know about the records. Geumwa then asks if Ju Mong may have looked at the records, and the guardian reports Ju Mong read everything when he was in Buyeo. Next, Daeso returns to Buyeo and reports to Geumwa Ju Mong moved his base, and Geumwa wonders where to, while Daeso responses he has yet to find that out. Budeukbul comes in next, and tells Geumwa Ju Mong and the Damul army have joined together with Gyeru to be one force against Han nation. Geumwa tells Budeukbul to prepare court session at once. In court, Budeukbul tells the king Ju Mong is already strong with his development of steel weapon, but now that he has access to Gyeru’s goods, the Damul group has become a force to fear. Daeso agrees and says at this rate, Ju Mong will set a new nation on Jolbon land, and Yeongpo wonders if this will be a big threat to Buyeo. Daeso urges Geumwa to take care of Ju Mong before he can accomplish his plans, and says they should help Songyang attack Gyeru. However, the ministers are concerned that Buyeo is not in the position to help anyone with their army, and Geumwa tells Heukchi to go and find out everything there is to know about Ju Mong and Gyeru at once.

jumong-episode-60dLady Yoohwa and Yesoya are notified about Ju Mong leaving Bongae to join Gyeru, and Yoohwa says Gyeru’s Soseono is a resourceful chief who will surely help Ju Mong help set his nation, and Yesoya asks when they will leave Buyeo, while Yoohwa says to wait just a little longer. Yesoya goes outside and her maid tells her she is worried about Ju Mong going to Gyeru, since Ju Mong and Soseono were of special relationship, and now that Soseono’s husband has died not long ago it is unsure what this all means. Yesoya asks if she is concerned that Ju Mong would forget about Soya, and Soya says not to worry since Ju Mong is always alive inside her heart, however Yesoya appears troubled and saddened. In Gyeru, Soryeong asks Ju Mong if he is satisfied with his new environment and Ju Mong says there are many things he has yet to accomplish. The starchild asks Ju Mong if he will go to war with Biryu and Ju Mong says if it’s necessary then he will. Starchild says Biryu is another tribe that Ju Mong must embrace, and Soryeong says it is better to unite with them without blood, and Ju Mong asks if there is a way to do so, and Soryeong says surely there is. However, just then Jaesa runs in to tell him the wounded general from Bongae mountain has arrived. The general says when they were about to leave Bongae mountain with the last group of people, Daeso arrived and killed them all. Mari says the last group must be only elderly and children and asks if Daeso really killed them all, and the general says the children begged for their life but they were all slashed to death. The trios are teary and furious and asks Ju Mong to send them to Buyeo to kill Daeso. Ju Mong tries to stay calm and tells his subject to take the wounded general inside for treatment. Ju Mong then tells the emotional trios that they must focus on setting their new nation and they must control their fury at this time. Just then, Chansoo arrives and tells Ju Mong Soseono has awakened.

Soseono asks Yeontabal what happened, and Yeontabal tells her there’s nothing for her to worry as everything she wanted is done, and that Ju Mong got rid of the Han soldiers, and all there’s left is to put Songyang to his knees thus she should regain her strength soon. Ju Mong comes in with Sayong and Soseono struggles to sit up. Ju Mong tells her to lay down, and Soseono says she doesn’t know how they can repay his help, and Ju Mong says no such thing, and urges her to recover soon since there are many things he has yet to accomplish with her. Next, Master Cheon arrives from his trip to Buyeo, and shows Ju Mong the records he got out of Buyeo palace. Ju Mong takes a look and tells Master Cheon that from now on the history of old Joseon will be continued by the Damul group, and Ju Mong thanks Master Cheon. The two talk together alone next, and Ju Mong asks if Cheon delievered the letter to Yoohwa, and Cheon replies yes. Ju Mong asks how they are doing and Cheon replies Yoohwa and Yesoya are fine and they are guarded by bodyguards.
Meanwhile, in Jolbon, Songyang tells the chiefs of other Jolbon tribes that they will not be able to rely on Hyeonto and Yang Jeong’s help in the future, and Songyang asks the chiefs of other Jolbon nations to give up more goods. The chiefs complain they already struggled to come up with the offerings last time, but Songyang raises his voice and says they will get their goods back after attacking Gyeru, and warns them if they don’t give the goods he asked then they will be killed off first, before they even attack Gyeru.

In Buyeo palace, the queen tells Jaeboo minister he has raised his daughter well, and Jaeboo minister says she is still young and has many things to learn. Daeso comes next, and the queen introduces him to Jaeboo minister’s daughter. The daugher speaks up and says her name is Ga-hee. Daeso is caught off guard, and the queen tells him to agree to take Ga-hee in as his concubine at once since the future of Buyeo depends on him, and Daeso says okay, but to wait til Buyeo escapes from their crisis before doing a wedding. Next, Seolran tells Daeso she heard about him meeting Jaeboo minister’s daugher and Daeso is speechless. Seolran says not to worry about her, and Daeso apologizes and says he was unable to reject the queen’s desire to continue their blood line and Seolran says nothing. Later, Haochen asks Seolran if she’s alright, and Seolran says she has no choice since she has been barren, and vows to return all the hatred in her heart that Buyeo has given her once she becomes queen. King Geumwa meets with his subjects again and tells everyone before Damul ruins Buyeo, they will attack Ju Mong and Damul first. Budeukbul congrats Geumwa on the rightful decision, and Jaeboo minister asks what the strategy is, and Geumwa says Songyang is currently in crisis, thus they will put new demand on Jolbon. Daeso says that is a great idea, and Geumwa orders Heukchi to prepare 2000 soldiers. Daeso asks to head the mission, and Geumwa approves.

jumong-episode-60eIn Gyeru, Ju Mong looks over the old Joseon records at night, when Soseono arrives to see him. Ju Mong asks her if it’s alright for her to be moving around and Soseono says it’s fine. Soseono then asks what all the bamboo scrolls were and Ju Mong says they are records from old Joseon. Soseono says as she knows it they were all lost and asks him where he found all this. Ju Mong brings out the map of old Joseon’s wide empire spread, and Soseono says she had heard that old Joseon was large but she didn’t realize just how big. Ju Mong says Damul and Gyeru will reclaim this large territory and that is the reason why he came to Gyeru.

jumong-episode-60fIn Buyeo palace, Yesoya and her maid bring food and wine to the guards outside Yoohwa’s chamber to comfort them, and the guard thanks her and says but wine is prohibited in Buyeo, while Yesoya says they can skip the wine if they don’t feel comfortable with it. Next, Yoohwa’s maid comes in to tell her the guards have passed out and Yoohwa hurries out with her maid and her bundle. She goes and meets up with Yesoya who is waiting with Yuri, and Yoohwa says to hurry and escape from the palace. They hurry and escape from the palace, bribing the palace gate guards as they leave. Once they are outside they change their clothing, but Songju arrives by Yoohwa’ chamber and finds Yoohwa’s scroll. Songju brings it to Geumwa and tells Geumwa both Yoohwa and Yesoya are missing and they must have fled. Geumwa opens the letter and reads Yoohwa’s letter asking for his forgiveness. Yoohwa writes she has tried to repay the debt she owes him, but the moment he set Yesoya and Yuri as his hostage their destiny was ended. Lastly Yoohwa asks for forgiveness and upon reading this Geumwa is furious and orders Songju to block all their outlets to Gyeru to catch the women and Yuri. Thus, on this dark night, Yoohwa, Yesoya, Yuri and the maid flee on foot as they are chased by Naro and the army men on horse.

    Why Seseono have to be slashed? Should be Sayong lah…
