In Hyeonto fort, Ju Mong and his Byeol-dong special task army kills off the guarding soldiers, and Ju Mong orders Ohyi and Moogol to watch over the fort so no one escapes. Minister Hwang’s servant runs to him with the news that Jolbon is attacking Hyeonto fort, and Hwang is appalled asking how it could be possible. The servant replies Ju Mong and a special task force freed the slaves who then joined in on the battle, thus the servant urges Hwang to flee immediately. Hwang says to pack up the most important documents and prepare to flee. Just then, Haochen relates the news to Yang Seolran as well, and Seolran is shocked and says she must tell her father before they flee. Haochen says a messenger was already sent to Yang Jeong thus she must leave now. Meanwhile upon finishing off yet another group of Hyeonto army, Ju Mong tells the remnants who are fighting with him that he is the son of General Haemosu who spent his live trying to save Gojoseon migrants. Ju Mong continues he has come here now to save the remnants, and today, together with Damul army, they will get rid of the Hans from this land so that the migrants will no longer live in suffering. At this the migrants shout out hooray. As Minister Hwang tries to flee from Hyeonto fort, they are stopped by Ohyi and Moogol and their group. Hwang’s men are killed off, and Minister Hwang is captured, along with other ranked officials of Hyeonto. Ohyi is about to order the captured to be taken to custody when a migrant pleads to have them killed immediately by his very sword, saying these officials are the ones who put so much misery in their lives. Ohyi calms the man down saying he understands how he must feel, but since Commander Ju Mong has asked them to capture the men alive, the commander must have his reason, thus they should bring the captured to Ju Mong first. Thus, Hwang and the other officials are taken away, while another Damul soldier comes to tell Ohyi some Hyeonto people have fled the fort on horse. Ohyi and Moogol go after the fled and soon they catch up to them, with a woman among them. Upon surrounding them, Ohyi orders them to get off their horse, while Moogol orders them to throw away their swords. Ohyi then unveils the woman’s face and is surprised. Moogol asks if he knows the maiden, and Ohyi replies she is Yangjeong’s daughter and Daeso’s wife, Seolran. Moogol says they caught a great one, and Ohyi then tells Moogol the evil woman standing before them is the one who has given much misery to Yesoya while she was in Buyeo. Ohyi says he will avenge Yesoya’s suffering, but Yang Seolran speaks and tells them to stop mocking her and just kill her instead. Ohyi slaps her violently, while Haochen gasps, and Ohyi then tells her to shut up, and orders his men to take her away.
Seolran is taken before Ju Mong with ropes around her, and Seolran accuses Ju Mong of having no manners treating her this way when she is Daeso’s wife. Ohyi orders her to shut up again, and urges Ju Mong to kill Seolran immediately to avenge Yesoya and Yuri’s death. However Ju Mong orders the ropes to be freed, and says to Seolran he will treat her with respect as she has asked but warns her her title could come back to haunt her. Upon these words, Ju Mong orders his men to take her into house-arrest. Afterwards, Moogol asks Ju Mong to allow the migrants to kill the Hyeonto officials with their own hands, but Ju Mong tells Jaesa to lock up the officials and confirm their identities. The migrant man speaks up and pleads to Ju Mong to allow them to kill the officials. Ju Mong replies he wishes the same, but the officials will in the end save more migrants. At this Minister Hwang is surprised, and the migrant says he will trust Commander Ju Mong and wait. Next, Ju Mong tells the trio they have worked hard, but just because they have seized the Hyeonto fort, the war has only just begun and they have much to battle over. Hyeopbo replies when the Han army returns to the fort they will fight with all their might. Meanwhile, at Yangjeong’s army tent outside Hyeonto, the news of Hyeonto fort’s capture reaches Yangjeong, and Yangjeong is in disbelief. Yangjeong asks how can that make sense when their enemy is right before them, but the soldier replies it was not the Jolbon main army force who seized the fort, but rather it was Ju Mong with his special task force and the remnants he just saved who overtook the fort. Yangjeong is furious beyond measure and yells out Ju Mong. Daeso is startled as well and asks what happened to Yang Seolran. The soldier apologizes and says no one escaped and Seolran’s whereabouts is unknown. Daeso yells at Yangjeong’s head advisor, Minister Wang, asking him why he didn’t predict such. Wang apologizes, and General Heukchi asks what their plan is now. Will they go back to Hyeonto fort or will they continue with their war with Jolbon out here? Naro says they must fight the main Jolbon force first and they can reclaim the fort later, but Dongseon disagrees and says they must go back now to save Yang Seolran. Heukchi states if they leave now the Jolbon army will attack their army base. At this both Yang Jeong and Daeso are speechless.
Meanwhile, Mookgeo reaches the Jolbon army base, and reports to Soseono and the rest of the trios that Ju Mong and the special task force, together with the remnants, seized the Hyeonto fort. Soseono and the others are elated by this news and states Ju Mong will be at Cheon-soo mountain. At this, Soseono tells Mookgeo to go back and report to Ju Mong that they are prepared for battle as well thus Ju Mong can give the order anytime. Mari says he will go back with Mookgeo and the two leave. Sayong tells Soseono Yangjeong must be in disarray now since he must be confused whether he should go back to the fort or to stay at the base. Soseono asks Buwuiyeom how many enemy soldiers are at Cheon-hyeop valley and Buwuiyeom replies about 500 soldiers. Afterwards, Soseono tells her father Yeontabal if Yangjeong tries to reclaim Hyeonto fort and leave, then they will attack their army base, but Yeontabal warns Soseono Daeso is not one who makes brash decisions thus they must be careful, and since Ju Mong is at Cheon-soo mountain with his team, they can attack the enemy from all directions. Soseono tells Sayong to go and tell Songyang to prepare the army. Next, Yeontabal warns Soseono that Yangjeong could pretend to be retrieving to the fort and use the opportunity to attack the Jolbon army base instead thus they must remain cautious. Later, Gyepil arrives at the army base to see Soseono, who asks what brings him all the way here. Gyepil says he came to bring supplies and food to the soldiers and Soseono thanks him, then asks about her sons Biryu and Ohnjo. Gyepil says she needn’t worry about them, especially Biryu who is already all grown up and can worry about his mother now. Gyepil tells Soseono she must be extra careful since Wootae isn’t around, and Gyepil tells Sayong his utmost important job is to protect Soseono, and if something goes wrong with Soseono then he won’t let him off the hook. Meanwhile, Yeongpo arrives in Buyeo, and Majin runs to greet him. Yeongpo punches Majin and asks what in the world happened to Yesoya and Yuri, and Majin replies he doesn’t know either since when he arrived in Hyeonto Yesoya and Yuri were already gone. Yeongpo wonders how they can let go of such great opportunity sent by heaven so pathetically. Just then the palace minister arrives and asks Yeongpo why he went to Jolbon. Yeongpo is surprised that they already know this and argues he was merely there to save Buyeo.
In Buyeo oracle chamber, Mawuryeong puts up a shrine for the safe return of Daeso and the Buyeo army, as the queen watches. Just then, the queen’s brother comes in with news that Yeongpo has returned. Yeongpo tells the queen he went to meet with Ju Mong to ask him to draw alliance with Buyeo instead of fighting the Hans and the queen scoffs him then asks what Ju Mong said. Yeongpo says nothing, and the queen says everyone believes Yeongpo left Buyeo to betray Buyeo, and the queen warns him to get things straight before Daeso returns or else Daeso won’t forgive him. Just then the Buyeo ministers find out what happened to Hyeonto fort, and Budeukbul wonders what to do. Budeukbul goes to see King Geumwa next, and informs him Hyeonto fort has been seized by Ju Mong, and Yangjeong and Daeso are now in grave danger, thus the king must send more troops to save them. Geumwa replies even if Daeso is in danger he will get himself out of it, hence they will not send more troops. Geumwa then states Ju Mong toppling Hyeonto fort is something set by the heavens and even if they try to stop it they cannot stop it, thus Budeukbul should focus only on what can save Buyeo now. Geumwa then laughs and states at one point in his life his greatest wish to overthrow the Han army, and now that wish is getting fulfilled by Ju Mong. Nearby Yangjeong’s army base, Ohyi, Mari and Moogol watch from a distance if there are any movements, and when they see no movement they return to report to Ju Mong the enemy must have yet to make up their decision. Ju Mong says he will go to their main army base for discussion over their move, and Ju Mong arrives in Jolbon army camp with Soseono welcoming him back. Ju Mong tells Soseono and Yeontabal Yangjeong will attack their camp but he will try to lure them into a trap thus they should use that against them.
Meanwhile, Mopalmo, Chansoo, Yeonchaeryeong rush to bring more grains, preserved meat, and explosives to Jolbon army camp, and Ju Mong thanks them for their hardwork, and orders the food to be distributed to the soldiers. Thus, Musong and Yeonchaeryeong along with the support unit passes out meat to the soldiers. Meanwhile in Hyeonto army base, the Han army are only given potatoes and roots. Yangjeong watches with Daeso and tells Daeso they should retreat, however Daeso asks Yangjeong how he has become so weak and firmly states they must attack the Jolbon main army. Just then Yangjeong’s advisor arrives with a message from Ju Mong. Yangjeong reads the message and becomes wrathful, cursing at Ju Mong. Daeso takes a look and reads that in the letter, Ju Mong tells Yangjeong Damul has seized Hyeonto fort, and Yangjeong’s daughter, along with the Hyeonto ministers of Hyeonto fort are now Damul’s prisoners of war. Ju Mong also states if Yangjeong surrenders now his life will be spared, but if he does not surrender he and the Hans will not return to their hometown and shed blood instead. Upon reading this Daeso angrily asks Yangjeong if he will do nothing when he’s faced with such mockery, and Yangjeong replies if they attack Jolbon then they will kill Seolran. Daeso says Ju Mong will not kill the prisoners for Daeso’s sake, and Daeso states he has a good idea which is to trap Ju Mong. Yangjeong agrees and next, Daeso and Yangjeong lead the Hyeonto-Buyeo army toward Jolbon army base. Mari and his men watch as they move, and Mari rushes back to the Jolbon camp. Ju Mong is notified that the enemy has left toward them, and Ju Mong asks how many soldiers. Mari says it is not the entire army, but only a group by Yangjeong and Daeso. Ju Mong says if it’s not the main army then it must be a set up, and tells Mari to prepare for their army as well. Ju Mong then goes to his generals and tells them as they expected, the enemy is moving toward them, thus he will go first to meet them, and orders Buwuiyeom and Bubunno to prepare the second group. Thus, Ju Mong leaves with the trios as Soseono and the rest of the Jolbon people watch.
Soon Yangjeong’s group is faced against Ju Mong’s group in the open field, and Daeso tells Yangjeong he will go out first. Yangjeong agrees, and Daeso runs toward Ju Mong’s group. Ju Mong tells his group to attack and the two groups battle off. But after some battle, Daeso exchanges a look with Naro and orders their group to retreat. Ju Mong tells his group to run after Daeso, and Yangjeong watches with a satisfied look. Next, in Cheon-hyeop valley, a group of Hyeonto soldiers are setting up a trap, and once the news is reached that Daeso is bringing the enemy toward them, the general tells the archers to prepare to shoot when Ju Mong’s army arrives. Hence, Daeso leads his group of men toward the valley, as Ju Mong and his men follow, but before they reach to the deep valley, Ju Mong halts his men and they turn around to leave. Daeso who doesn’t know this continues and upon reaching the Cheon-hyeop valley, the hiding soldiers prepare to shoot down Ju Mong’s men, but after some wait they realize Ju Mong is not coming. Daeso and Naro who have stopped at a distance ahead decide to go to the trap to help with attack, but when they arrive, Daeso is daunted. However he soon regains his posture and tells the men Yangjeong will soon lure the enemy back thus they must remain alert and prepared. In the meantime, Jolbon’s second army group, led by Buwuiyeom and Bubunno reaches Yangjeong and the groups begin battling. Yangjeong flees the scene after some struggle. Yang Jeong passes through Cheon-hyeop valley, and the hiding soldiers expect an enemy group to follow and they prepare their archery group for attack as they wait. Ju Mong and the rest of the Jolbon armies have returned to their base, and Ju Mong states when the enemy realizes they are not easily tricked they will prepare to retreat. While at Hyeonto army base, Yangjeong has decided that he best thing for them to do is to return to Hyeonto fort and reclaim the fort while they wait for help from Yeodong army to arrive. However Dongseon comes in with news that Yeodong army was on its way but turned around and went back, because it was getting attacked by Malga and Hyeonnu, thus in order to protect the Yeodong fort the Yeodong army went back to its origin. Yangjeong is further distraught and after letting out a shout, he tells his head advisor to move their group back to Hyeonto fort, with some to remain to watch over their camp until the enemy has cleared.
Meanwhile, in Cheon-hyeop valley, the Hyeonto general yells at the soldiers for putting up bond fire, but the head general comes and says it’s okay, since the enemy wasn’t tricked both times, they will not come back. However, Ju Mong and his group arrive by the valley in the middle of the night as the Hyeonto soldiers are resting by the fire. Ju Mong and his men begin attacking and soon they slaughter the entire group by the valley. Just then, Soseono is notified by a messenger that Yangjeong’s group has begun retreating to Hyeonto fort, however a large force still remains at the army base. Sayong says they are there to prevent them for overtake. Just then, another messenger arrives with news that Ju Mong has seized the enemy group by Cheon-hyeop valley and he will soon attack the fleeing enemy group. Soseono says to prepare their army to help Ju Mong. Hence, as Yangjeong, Daeso and their group of army march toward Hyeonto fort, Ju Mong and his army catch up to them and begin battling. Ju Mong slashes Dongseon to death, and next, Yangjeong’s head advisor is also killed. Ju Mong then marches toward Yangjeong, who runs toward Daeso and Naro approaches them, telling them to flee at once. Next, as Yangjeong, Daeso and Naro run off on horse, Ju Mong grabs a bow and some arrows and shoots Yangjeong off from his horse. A fallen and wounded Yangjeong calls out to Daeso, but Naro comes and urges Daeso to flee immediately. After they are away by some distance, Daeso gets off the horse and watches in horror and fury their men getting killed by Ju Mong’s group. By early dawn, Ju Mong stands before a wounded Yangjeong, and Ju Mong says Yangjeong, who is born as Gaemak prince, has sold himself as a dog to the Hans, and that is worse than a Han. Ju Mong tells Yangjeong he will give him one last chance to redeem himself and asks him if he will fight against the Hans to redeem his sins against the remnants, but Yangjeong replies he will not plead for his life from Ju Mong, and stretches his neck out, then orders Ju Mong to kill him at once. Ju Mong lets out a shout as he slashes Yangjeong to death. And Ju Mong raises his sword up the sky to proclaim their victory. Soseono and the crowd follows and cheers alongside Ju Mong with their swords raised to the sky.
