Jumong-episode-75aAfter some hesitation, Commander Ohyi tells King Ju Mong he is certain he saw lady Yesoya in the village at the border of Buk-ok nation. Just then, a group of soldiers arrive at the Buk-ok merchant Ja’s base and captures him, confiscating all his merchant goods then dragging him to the police court. Yuri’s friend sees the happening, and runs to tell Yuri about it. Yuri’s other friend asks what happens to them now, and he is sure that merchant Ja will tell the authorities about them. The three boys run to the inn where the mothers are, and Yesoya asks Yuri what’s happening. Yuri says he must leave this place immediately, and Yesoya says there must be a reason and Yuri insists he must leave or else. Yesoya asks if he committed crime and is being chased by soldiers, and to her shock Yuri states yes. Soya turns and says if he committed crime then he must be punished, but Yuri kneels before her and states it is not that he fears punishment, but he fears leaving her alone in the world and that is why he must flee now. Meanwhile, before Ohyi, Moogol and Mookgeo, the captured merchant Ja is tortured as he is forced to reveal who was behind the attack on Prince Biryu, but merchant Ja will not confess. Inside the palace, Ju Mong remembers the last time he saw Yesoya, when she insisted she couldn’t leave with him since she must stay to care after Yoohwa, and how she urged him not to forget Yoohwa’s words to never come back to Buyeo in order to accomplish the grand will. Ju Mong remembers this and the way she wept in his bosom. Night time in Buk-ok, Yuri and his friend, together with their mothers flee, as Ohyi and his soldiers come searching for them. When Ohyi discovers he was one step too late he is flustered but says they must not have gone too far thus they must go after them to find them no matter what. Ju Mong is solemn as he gazes out from the palace balcony, sighing in between, and Soseono watches from distance. She summons Hyeopbo next, and says Hyeopbo is one who is closest to Ju Mong and someone who knows everything about Ju Mong. Hyeopbo agrees, and Soseono says it is her role to share Ju Mong’s burden, and asks Hyeopbo to tell her what is troubling King Ju Mong. Hyeopbo is reluctant and says Ju Mong is worried about their army and nation as usual, thus she needn’t worry, but Soseono asks if there’s something else bothering him, and Hyeopbo says nothing else. Soseono says fine and sends Hyeopbo away, but she is wondering what’s really going on.

Jumong-episode-75bCommander Ohyi returns from his trip and reports to Ju Mong the king of Buk-ok nation welcomes Ju Mong’s offer to be an alliance. Ju Mong then asks about the other task he sent him on, and Ohyi apologizes, saying he was unable to find Yesoya and Yuri despite thorough searching. Ju Mong sighs and Ohyi comforts Ju Mong saying he is certain that the two are still alive and Ju Mong needn’t worry as he will surely find them soon. Ju Mong tells Ohyi not to be burdened and to go and rest since he has traveled a long distance. After Ohyi is dismissed, Ju Mong takes out the baby shoe once belonging to Yuri and while holding to the shoe, Ju Mong becomes tearful. Outside in the Goguryeo palace courtyard, Prince Biryu practices swords with General Bubunno as Gyepil and Moogol watch. Gyepil is pleased to see Biryu’s improved skills and as he laughs he says Biryu is one who will pull their nation in the future thus he is indeed different. As the two finish their match, Ju Mong comes out to watch, and tells Biryu his skills have greatly improved. Biryu says no, and that if his skills were great he wouldn’t have suffered loss in the hands of assassins in Buk-ok nation, Biryu then asks Ju Mong for a new opportunity in the future. Ju Mong says it is astonishing that Biryu already knows to take blame for his group and encourages Biryu to keep up his skills and responsibility over his army, and that if so, he will be entrusted with another important task in the future. Ju Mong then goes to the weapon factory, where Prince Ohnjo works hard in making sword. Ju Mong tells Mopalmo instead of teaching Ohnjo how to make strong steel, he should teach Ohnjo how to win over the citizen’s hearts. Mopalmo says he doesn’t have that skill, but Ju Mong looks at Mopalmo and states Mopalmo has the skills to be a great teacher to Ohnjo and Mopalmo says he will do his best. Ju Mong thanks him and leaves, and Mopalmo sighs afterwards, telling MuSong how heart ached Ju Mong must feel every time he sees the great environment that Ohnjo was able to grow up in, as he surely misses the deceased Yuri who never had a chance.

Jumong-episode-75cMajin rushes to tell Yeongpo it’s been found out that the men they hired were not Buyeo army, and Yeongpo is upset saying he spent so much money on it, and he already bragged to Daeso about taking care of things. Meanwhile, in Yeodong, a minister of Han court comes and scolds Yeodong Governor Hwang about not being able to stop Goguryeo while they are busy with their conquests. Hwang summons Yeongpo and asks about the so-called plans he had bragged about, and Yeongpo says he had some plans but things haven’t panned out yet and asks Hwang for more time. Hwang is upset and says he is getting heavy pressure from Chang-ahn and if it keeps up he wont’ look favorably at Yeongpo either. Next, Governor Hwang goes to Buyeo to meet Buyeo king, and Daeso welcomes Hwang then glares at Yeongpo who came with Hwang. Daeso tells Hwang the king is ill thus he should just talk to him instead. Then, during court session, before the ministers, Yeongpo urges Daeso to join hands with Hwang, or else Buyeo’s future will be destroyed by Goguryeo. Daeso tells Yeongpo to shut up and states Yeongpo is already a Han person, thus he should be worried about the Han’s future as Goguryeo is gaining power, instead of Buyeo. Hwang says he understands Daeso’s state of mind but he should face the reality, and Budeukbul speaks up saying Goguryeo has never attacked Buyeo thus they shouldn’t make things up, and Budeukbul tells the two to leave. Hwang and Yeongpo leave, and Hwang tells Yeongpo one day Buyeo will come to regret not joining his hand. Yeongpo apologizes and Hwang says he will go back to Yeodong first. Majin tells Yeongpo they should follow, but Yeongpo scolds Majin instead. Songju tells Geumwa about Yeodong governor’s visit, and that Daeso declined Hwang’s offer of alliance. Geumwa laughs cynically and states at least Daeso isn’t selling out on Buyeo, and goes outside to get some fresh air. Geumwa overlooks his palace, as he walks around pausing here and there. Next, Daeso tells his subjects that though he declined Yeodong’s offer, the reality is that they must find a way to protect their nation and asks his subjects for any ideas. General Heukchi says they must scatter some of their central army to the border by Goguryeo, and Daeso agrees and order him to alert the Sachuldo with the matter. Daeso then tells the Wae minister and the Jaeboo minister to increase trade including those nations who are aligned with Goguryeo, and cut down on their palace expenses. Daeso then addresses the court and says when the nation is in difficulty everyone should make little sacrifices to endure through together. Just then King Geumwa arrives and sits on the throne. Geumwa says he is here to make a revelation, and asks the court not to go against his will. Geumwa states he wishes to give Buyeo throne to Daeso, and everyone’s surprised. Geumwa then tells Budeukbul to prepare for coronation and to announce it to other nations. Daeso says he can’t receive that since Geumwa is still alive, but Geumwa says Daeso has earned that right and tells him to follow his will. The palace minister runs to the queen to tell her about the news and both the queen and Seolran are shocked. The palace minister says now the queen’s long time wish is finally becoming true, and Seolran congratulates the queen, who is overjoyed and states since a day like this has come now she can die without regret.

Jumong-episode-75dIn Goguryeo, Jaesa and Mari report to Ju Mong the news that Geumwa has given the throne to Daeso, and Ju Mong asks if Geumwa’s health is that bad. Jaesa says it is, but not enough to leave the world yet. Ju Mong then calls court session, and before his minister and generals, Queen Soseono says their nation has been able to survive in friendly terms with Buyeo due to King Geumwa, but now that Daeso has power, their nation is at risk. Sayong speaks up and says the biggest difference between Geumwa and Daeso is their attitude toward Han nation. Since Daeso has joined hands with Hyeonto before, he can easily join hands with Han nation again in the future. Jaesa speaks up too and tells Ju Mong instead of waiting for Buyeo to attack them they should conquer Buyeo first. Ju Mong is surprised, but Sayong says he agrees with Jaesa’s assessment and says since Buyeo is still in trouble it is an opportune time for them. Buwuiyeom agrees and asks Ju Mong to consider it.

After walking through the night, Yesoya tells Yuri to rest for a while. Yuri agrees and goes to fetch water, while Yesoya tries to regain her strength. The inn woman laments her fate saying she worked over 14 years for that place in Jang-ryeong and now she has to start over again. The woman pulls her son aside and tells him not to befriend Yuri anymore since he will bring more trouble in the future. Yuri comes back from getting water and overhears the conversation, then goes to his mom and hands water to her to drink. Yuri then gives water to his friend, and apologizes to Soya for giving her such a difficult life when he wanted to make things better for her. Soya says nothing, and Yuri asks her why he doesn’t have a father and asks her what kind of man he was for her never to mention him. Soya says when the right time comes she will tell him about it thus he shouldn’t’ ask about it again. Soya then sighs and asks where they’re going and Yuri says he has not yet decided on that. Soya suggests they should go toward Buyeo, and Yuri asks why. Soya answers there’s something they need to find in Buyeo, and Yuri appears puzzled. Ju Mong is thinking in his chamber, when Soseono comes in to see him. Soseono looks at him intently and tells Ju Mong not to be concerned too much by what his subjects said since they are only looking out for his and the nation’s best interest. Ju Mong smiles and nods, and Soseono then says she knows his heart toward Buyeo, just like he wanted to send goods to Buyeo when Jolbon was fighting with Buyeo. Ju Mong then tells Soseono if she understands his heart then she should understand one more thing, and Ju Mong tells her he wants to go to Buyeo during Daeso’s coronation. Soseono is against it saying it is too dangerous since Buyeo is still their enemy even though they haven’t fought all these years. Ju Mong says he will not be harmed when many leaders of the nations will be present, and Ju Mong tells Soseono not to worry.

Jumong-episode-75eBack in Buyeo, the ministers are getting ready to send out invitations to their allied nations and the Jaeboo minister wants to keep it simple to save money, but the palace minister argues it is their opportunity to show the world their glory thus they should make it fancy. Heukchi scolds the palace minister saying that is not what Daeso wants. Budeukbul agrees and says Daeso has ordered them not to be wasteful, and tells Jaeboo minister to handle the matter. Budeukbul then gets up to leave, and Jaeboo minister asks if they should invite Goguryeo, but Budeukbul says it’s not like they would come if they invite them, and Jaeboo minister says he understands. Meanwhile the queen gives Daeso some advice about becoming a king who is loved by the citizens, and Daeso says not to worry and that he will avenge her sufferings once he is king. The queen replies the way to avenge her suffering is to destroy Goguryeo. Haochen comes to Seolran and announces the oracle Mawuryeong has come to visit her now that Seolran is about to be queen. Mawuryeong comes in and presents a gift to Seolran as token of her sincerity and Seolran asks why she is here. Mawuryeong says she has a request from her, which is that there’s a rumor going around saying the oracle section would be rid of once Daeso is king, and Seolran says she had heard such rumor as well. Mawuryeong asks Seolran to stop that rumor, and Seolran only glees at the oracle saying nothing. Meanwhile, Yuri and his friends arrive by the street near Buyeo, and they wonder what they will do now to survive. Yuri says they shouldn’t hurt their mothers anymore just to earn money, and just then they notice a post on the Buyeo gate, with the announcement of a martial arts competition will be held to commemorate the coronation of new king, with gifts to be awarded to winner. Yuri’s friend says Yuri should go since he is skillful, but the other friend says it would be difficult, and Yuri thinks over it. Meanwhile, Soya who is transporting some bark for cooking fire falls and coughs up blood again. The inn woman is startled, and Yuri returns just in time to escort Soya to her room to rest. Yuri wipes sweat off of Soya’s forehead while she is resting on the bed, and Soya awakes to see him both feeling bad for each other..

Jumong-episode-75fIn Goguryeo, Ju Mong’s subjects plead with Ju Mong not to go to Buyeo for it is too dangerous, and Soseono speaks up to say what they subjects are worried is not without ground, and Ju Mong’s body does not belong to himself, for if something happens then it will be devastating for Goguryeo. Ju Mong tells everyone in court that he is going to Buyeo in order to make Goguryeo a stronger nation, and he will go and persuade Daeso to join hands together in order for them to face Han together. Ju Mong tells everyone to trust him, and the people are silenced. However Biryu speaks up and says he will accompany the king, and Ju Mong agrees, then tells Yeontabal to take care of everything in his absence, and Yeontabal says he will follow Ju Mong’s order. Next, in Buyeo, Yuri has fetched some medicine for Soya to drink, and upon taking it, Soya asks Yuri if he misses his father, but Yuri says since he has never seen his father’s face even for once, he can’t even imagine it, but he wants to know how his father lived. Soya answers his father is still alive, and Yuri is shocked. Yuri then asks where his father is, and Soya says if he wants to meet his father then he needs a proof, and Yuri asks where that is. Soya replies it is hidden deeply inside Buyeo palace. Yuri is surprised again and asks what his relation to Buyeo palace is. Soya replies once he finds the proof then she will tell him. Afterwards, Yuri who is surprised by these revelations makes up his mind, and tells his friends he will go on the fight competition stage. On the day of the coronation celebration, leaders of many nations bid their congratulations as they arrive in Buyeo, and a soldier runs in to whisper something in Budeukbul’s ears and the prime minister is shocked. Budeukbul then goes to Daeso, and inform Daeso with the news that Ju Mong from Goguryeo is on his way here. Daeso is surprised, and Budeukbul states he is unsure why Ju Mong has decided to come. Daeso thinks about it and tells Budeukbul to welcome Ju Mong like the other leaders. Outside the palace, King Ju Mong, together with Prince Biryu, Jaesa, Mari, and their group of soldiers arrive marching toward the Buyeo palace, and Yuri and his friends are standing among the crowd watching. As Ju Mong passes by from his horse, he catches Yuri’s eyes from the crowd and both father and son appear startled. Jumong-episode-75g
