Kontakan.com – Friendster’s competition launches
There’s a new social networking site in town to give Friendster a run for its money.
Kontakin kita, kontakin mo ako. Magkontakan tayo!
Called Kontakan.com, the new site was launched in beta stage as an alternative to more popular sites Friendster and MySpace.com. It’s come-on features are a public chatboard. It provides a media player so users can chat while listening to music and watch videos. Members even get to play some arcade games. Bands, musicians and artists are encourage to put up ads and events and profiles to connect with their fans.
Friendster is the Philippine-counterpart to the more global MySpace.com.
