Philippine Airlines upgrades online booking services

Now you can securely and rapidly book international flights using e-tickets from Philippine Airlines.

PAL upgraded its internet booking and e-ticketing services to allow user a selection of the cheapest fares for both domestic and international itineraries.

The airline said the online booking link at its website (www.philippineairlines.com) provides information on the lowest available domestic fares over a seven-day period, and allows quick booking for any domestic flight, secured ticket payment and booking confirmation all within minutes.

The system immediately displays the ticket number and other flight information after payment through credit cards. Included in the booking confirmation are the applicable fares.

Hopefully this will make Philippine air travel a little better, at least one ‘leg’ of it.

I have an international card (Citi MC from USA) that the system accepted and charged to my account, but later to have the PAL treasury dept decline it as fraud use. Ridiculous, I told them! It’s legit. But they canceled it anyway. I read somewhere before that their secure system is setup for some network of asian countries, and that makes it difficult (if not impossible) to purchase online tickets from the USA with an international card. My other cards were not accepted either. And I have the same problem with Cebu Pacific too. I hope their IT dept investigates their regional problem and fix it!

I am proud to say that Philippine Airlines is one of the flag carrier in the Philippines but then I hate to say that their online booking is horrible. Probably one of the reason why they lost $114 million besides the surge of fuel cost comparing to Cebu Pacific’s online booking. Check it out!

pm. Just today i had book a ticket round trip bound to davao manla and vice versa dated january 9, 09 21:40pm PR822 and january 17,09 19:00 PR821. The problem is upon payment through credit card visa and issuance of itinerary confirmation, i checked my email ellerlin_03@yahoo.com (email i filled up upon information) and wasnt receive the itinerary receipt, i panicked…was that supposed to mean? is the email i had typed was wrong or receipt will be send late and not as soon as confirmation was done. I’ve tried printing the confirmation but i guess it’s not possible. i booked the ticket just renting a computer in an internet cafe and the attendant had a hard time printing it so do i. THNXS

I have a economy-class e-ticket from lax -to-mnl departing on Jan22nd. However, I am a NATIONAL TELEVISION CELEBRITY recently informed,by my agent, that the good folks of Philippine Air would grant me a complimentary upgrade to business-class!! So far, for the past 3 days, I have not received any form of response on my e-mail or by phone?!? Where’s your sense of reputable business practices?? They assured me on the phone that it would be “taken care of” and yet still nothing?? They’ve consistently given me “dead leeds” and “dead-phone numbers” to chase in other countries ,in pursuit of a fleeting resolution. This negative experience,in it’s entirety, will not go unnoticed!! I assure you !!! As an individual of prestigious influences one would assume such empty promises would be fulfilled w/o any sort of reserved conflicts of interest.,Again, however, if anyone reading this can direct me to a “definite” contact that can resolve this issue satisfactorally, then I would remove all forms of negative submittances and in turn post a detailed, positive feedback memo along with extensive, apologetic connotations!!! Bottom-line…can anybody help here???
