Filipina Among the 2008 Memory Makers Masters
If you’re a scrapbooker, you’re probably familiar with the Memory Makers magazine, and their yearly search for the “Masters”. This year, a Filipina has been chosen from almost 600 contestants to be in the 2008 class of the Memory Makers Masters.
Iris Babao Uy is among a group of Filipinas who have been slowly and rather quietly putting the Philippines on the scrapbooking map. Scrapbooking has started to take hold in the Philippines in the past 5 years or so. But it is only recently that homegrown artists are being recognized for their creativity, passion and innovation in this popular hobby.
Iris has an inspiring style that make me want to copy (or ’scraplift’, in scrapbooking lingo) her pages. Check out these works of art:

Absolutely beautiful pages! Congratulations, Iris!
