Filipina Soul would like to congratulate the mega-star Ms. Sharon Cuneta! Her show “Sharon” won as best entertainment program at the 2007 Catholic Mass Media Awards held last October 25, 2007.

Sharon also appears on the cover of Metro this month. In her interview with Ramil Gulle, which you can read on her blog, Sharon talks about the early days of her career, the secret habit she had for years, struggling with single motherhood, her daughter KC, and a new chapter in her life as a student. Here’s an excerpt from the article:
“Few people know how hard I worked to get to where I am now,” says Sharon, who belies any impression that everything was handed to her on a silver platter. She talks about her experiences as a single mother, having to work long hours, sacrificing sleep and comfort to raise a daughter, and one realizes that in her heart of hearts, she really went through the same difficulties that many single parents do. In other words, her celebrity status didn’t protect her.
“I worked so hard because after my marriage failed, I didn’t want to fail again as a mother. I also didn’t want to have to depend on my father (the late Pasay City mayor Pablo Cuneta). So I had no choice.”

Its really a worth reading grab of Sharon’s latest METRO cover. Surely a revelation about her battle with smoking and I just hope she gets a little bit sexier just like her old form before she had Frankie. I salute Sharon for being humble all these years and I really admired her intelligence and business sense. Charming and a wonderful persona that truely i CAN SAY the biggest STAR in showbiz!
I still think sharon’s best look is with her romantic look hairsstyle from her movie to love again. i would say it would be great if she would bring back her younger look…because i think it’s really her. it would be also nice if someone could put all her english songs that hasn’t been released on cds. like “with one more look at you” “close to you” and lots of 80’s songs from some of her old movie soundtrack albums… put them all together it would be a great colections(just all english)…she is very talented and has a great voice from all those songs… i have them all in tapes…well except some songs (mentioned above).
