Mutya Buena, Filipino-Irish pop star makes waves in UK
Another pop star on the rise!
Mutya Buena, of Filipino-Irish descent, is making waves in the United Kingdom as a solo artist. Her solo album, Real Girl, was in the top 40 for three weeks after its release. And a duet with George Michael “This is Not Real Love” reached no. 15 in the UK charts. In fact, she even toured with Michael and performed live with him on the London and Manchester leg of his Twenty Five Live tour.
the title track ‘Real Girl’ even climbed to No. 2 on downloads after its release. Recently, she was nominated for the 2007 British “Music of Black Origin” (MOBO) awards.
