Quentin Tarantino goes Filipino to the Golden Globes announcements
Quentin Tarantino announced the 2008 Golden Globes nominees last week.. and guess what he’s wearing, fellow pinoys?

Doesn’t he look dapper in this barong tagalog?
Whoever designed this… you’re gonna be famous (if not already)!
Obviously, Tarantino taken by our culture (and our b-movies!). Now everyone will be the Philippines’ national costume! But I wonder if it’s the same barong he wore to Ireland and at the Cinemanila Film Festival?
And look what he paired this barong with…
He appeared at the Globes announcements with two other celebrities Hayden Panettiere and Ryan Reynolds…

Quentin was gifted with a ‘TESORO’S” barong by the National Commission of Culture and the Arts Executive Director. Cecilia Guidote-Alvarez and by the Film Development Council of the Philippines vice-Chair Christine Dayrit. The Director was presented the 24 hour executed, custom-made barong for his courtesy call to the Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Tesoro Barongs can be ordered on-line at http://www.tesoros.ph. There is an on-going promotion right now with very good prices to be had for a wide selection of barongs for men and women.

Well for me, we filipino should be proud of philippine culture like our dress, barong and filipiniana. If well known international director can wear our barong tagalog, why can’t we show off our style.
