Filipino animation is going big-time!
“Urduja”, a full-length animation about a legendary warrior-princess from the province of Pangasinan, is produced by Tony Tuviera’s APT Entertainment. It features the voices of:
- EDDIE GARCIA for “Lakanpati”
- JOHNNY DELGADO for “Wang”
- ALLAN K for “Tarsir”
- MICHAEL V for “Kukut”
- CESAR MONTANO for “Lim Hang”
- MS. REGINE VELASQUEZ for “Princess Urduja”

We saw the trailer of Urduja last year in the cinemas. We first thought that it was a dubbed version from another country, but no, it is our very own!!
Cant wait. Im trying to recall when the scheduled screening of Urduja is… totally forgot about this until I read it from your blog
Hi, im a medi arts and animation student in the states. i saw this website and looked at the animation. i am Half pinoy and all i can say is, you did a good job finding a style on the animation works, but i believe one of the weak points of this animation would be the acting and performance of the animated charcters. i have noticed that some movements are alittle stiff and the motion or expression of the voice often doesnt fit with the animations movement. I just want to say it was worth the animation but hope this would help you in making the animation work well, add more exageration to the animated characters to make it more real and believable. thanx..
