So here are some very useful information:

Entrance Fee
The Entrance Fee for adults is PHP400 (approximately US$10) and PHP350 (approximately US$9) for children.

Security Checks
Everyone entering the Park is subject to a security check. Bags, parcels and/or items shall undergo inspection before entry.

Interactive kiosks and projections, as well as educational materials and other equipment, have been installed within the Manila Ocean Park to enhance the learning experience. Guests are free to use the equipment under minimal supervision; however, it is expected that care shall be taken during its use.

i have been in sydney aquarium which i can compare
to manila oceanarium, they allowed picture taking and even videotaping. I believe people who goes to this place want a souvenir, to be more memorable.
anyway thanks in advance, I just want to share my unforgettable moments to my kids by showing them the picture i had taken from sydney.

I am so amazed we have oceanarium now in our country. This is an excellent place to visit and learn as well.
I was just wondering, what is the age bracket considered as children?
and secondly, why won’t you allow amateur videotaping? this is very helpful for the growing learning kids and with this, it might attract more spectators to come and see for themselves as well.

Of course you can take pictures!
Of course you can do video!

Flash lang ang bawal. It scares the fish. Simple lang na rule yun. (Pag sa zoo, don’t feed / taunt / poke the animals — simpleng rule din, diba?)

if you’re concerned that your pictures won’t come out ok, I assure you — you won’t need your flash at all there. We went, shot a zillion pics and they came out fine.

Please note on the “commercial use” interpretation.

i’ve been in many aquarium’s in the parts of the world why in the hell in the philippines are not permitting video recording its ridiculous and not favorable to many and one thing that’s unfair to the visitors like foreign dignitaries nakakahiya ang management ng company na ito sana hindi nakayo nag lagay ng aquarium seems that youre not allowing us to recored it ano yan ginto ba yang mga isda nyo grabe kayo ha!!!!!
in japan they are proud to show they new latest whale shark tank and allowed po mag take ng video
kahit kelan ang pilipinas nakakahiya its better to enjoy the beauty of the other place’s around the world but not in here in philippines nag hihirap na nga nag mumukha pa kayong pera…………..

    @michael…

Let’s face it, having a manila ocean park as the first oceanarium in the philippines is already a big step for the country. Lets thank the people who invested in this project since kahit poverty stricken na ang bansa and most likely risky ang investment eh sumugal pa din sila para mabigyan din naman ng konting aquatic experience ang mga kababayan nating walang kakayahang pumunta sa mga napuntahan mo.

it is so disappointing knowing that videotaping and even picture taking are not allowed. the visit to manila oceanarium would be more memorable if such activities would be permitted. We’ve just been to subic ocean adventure and picture taking was allowed there. the aquarium was smaller though. we’re planning to visit the manila oceanarium end of this month however, with the restriction of photography, we might not as well visit.

I suggest that it be allowed to take pictures. it will attract more tourist i believe.

Hi! I’ve read all the comments, but it seems there’s war going on… hahaha.

Wag nyo naman awayin si Mr. Macaraeg. Maybe he just don’t understand what he is reading.

Kulang lang cya ng comprehension. Help him understand, explain it to him clearly, don’t criticize.

Anyway, he is lucky that he already visited several parts of the world.

Moreover, don’t criticize the way he construct his grammar, not unless, ur really good or fluent in English.

For u mr macaraeg, it’s okay to compare, but then, try to be a little bit humble.

    See you at Ocean Park!

Dear nakapunta na rin naman ako sa oceanarium sa paris at madrid di naman bawal ang camera ang flash lang kahit saang oceanarium ka magpunta bawal naman talaga yan di ba, don’t underestimate the management of our own oceanarium at least they are trying to protect the environment of these marine species. PATRONIZE OUR OWN NA LANG at least they are trying to brings these attractions for the filipinos i just want to request if they can lower the entrance fee so the least fortunate can enjoy it the same as the ELITE.

Manila Ocean Park is the a fusion concept, bringing together in one complex an oceanarium, mall, hotel, swimming pool and function hall.

Last March they soft opened the oceanarium and this coming December they will open the Mall. The hotel and other attractions will open next year.

Digital and video cams are allowed as long as you remove the flash setting of the camera. Food is not allowed inside the oceanarium, but you can eat inside in the concourse area. They have starbucks, northpark, pancake house, chowking and many more.

If you just want to eat in the restaurant, you DO NOT HAVE TO PAY any entrance fee. Only in the Oceanarium that you HAVE to pay entrance.

The company is very strong in their commitment to help communicate to the public about marine conservation and preservation. Look at their website for new upcoming events: http://www.manilaoceanpark.com

    Mr. Macaraeg,

You’re a Filipino, so don’t be ashamed to use your native language.

Sulit yan :)

but i will surely visit the place and tag along a canadian friend….. for sure, although this canadian friend of mine have visited parts of the world, he would enjoy this particular park….. parang second childhood ba !!!!!

keep it up readers and “commenters”

stupid rules on bawal mag flash photo or video for commercial purposes and ok for personal use- how would they know if someone shoots for whatever purpose, anyone can lie and say its for personal use pero benta rin niya or something. and teach your guards! di dahil naka- Canon SLR camera e professional photog na!
