Photos of Manila Ocean Park

One of our readers, Patty, has visited Manila Ocean Park, the Philippines’ first oceanarium and has the pictures to prove it! Yep, you can take photos in the oceanarium, but without using flash (it scares the fish!).

Patty has graciously allowed us to share some of the photos with you.

Near the end of your visit, you can rest your feet in this pool of fish! But be careful, Patty says that the fish bite. :p

These are just some of the sights and experiences waiting for you at the Manila Ocean Park. Looks like a lot of fun, eh?

Great pics! That prickly-looking octopus (I’m assuming that’s what it is) is so creepy looking!

Nice, clear shots, thanks for sharing! the last pic are those of “doctor fishes” at the fish spa. they feed on dead-skin off visitors’ feet and the experience, as my nieces said, was “nakakakiliti” (it tickles). btw, the “prickly-looking octopus” is actually a giant Japanese crab! here’s some pics at the “Baruha” or Coral Reef area – http://auroralh.multiply.com/photos/album/14/Creatures_and_Corals_at_the_Oceanarium
    cheers!

I have a question i am going to the philippines next may and i heard there is tons of wemon selling themselves. I really dont want my vacation to be ruined by a bunch of wemon propositioning my husband for sex. Is this true? Can anyone respond?

    Hi NB4372,
I’m sorry that someone has told you that. It’s really not true at all. There are many places in the Philippines where you can enjoy your vacation hassle-free. Of course, there are questionable places too, just like any other country. If you avoid those districts, you should be fine.

hi the park looks great. we’re heading to manila in october for 3 weeks and we are attending a wedding reception at the ocean park so now we can’t wait to get ther and see it !!

to NB4372 : this will be our 3rd visit to the philippines and we’ve never had a problem of any kind. my husband went for a boys night out the first time we were there and he said there were a lot of women trying to get them to buy drinks in the pubs but apart form that we’ve not had a problem.
everyone has always been extremely nice and helpful and if you can you have to visit BORACAY …..a fantastic tropical island …its magical …and again we’re going there for our 3rd time when we’re over in october

    have a nice trip !!

Erika, I really am not sure about that. We’ll have to wait for someone else who knows to comment. Anyone?
