Rick Astley in Manila
Rick Astley is in Manila! The singer behind such 80s hits as “Never Gonna Give You Up”, and “Together Forever” will be performing at the Araneta Coliseum this weekend. The “Here and Now” concert, which will be at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2008, will be featuring his greatest hits.
TicketNet isn’t selling any more tickets online. I’m not sure if there are still any available, but if you want to go, you can call 911-5555 in Manila. Maybe you’ll be lucky and be able to get a ticket or two floating around.
I say lucky because reports have it that the “Here and Now” tour is going to be Rick’s last before his retirement. His stop in Manila is produced by Mossimo Music and DMC Philippines. It is also sponsored by the Lancaster Suites Hotel, where Rick is staying while in Manila, and the Alchemy Bar in Pasig. In fact, Rick was the guest of honor at Alchemy today, July 30. Of a number of bloggers apparently at the Alchemy party, we do have one Rick sighting confirmed.
