The Moymoy Palaboy YouTube phenom
So there are these crazy brothers causing a raucous in YouTube! Moymoy Palaboy is the new Youtube phenomenon and they don’t even have to sing their way to stardom… instead… they do hilarious lipsynch of famous songs that can bring the house down!
The vid to beat is “Wannabe” by the Spiceguys with 1.3 million views, and the 22 videos uploaded so far have 7.12 million hits total! Of the lot, I thought the “Lion King” in the jungle was the funniest, so let’s just show both videos. Laugh your heart out!
Man, and all this started on a whim, maybe on a day when there wasn’t anything better to do! The videos are mostly filmed in their own small living room, a typical apartment setting in Manila, and you can see their aunt flit in and out of the picture (you thinking what she might be thinking about her weird nephews?!) LOL
Just who are the Moymoy Palaboys? James Ronald Obeso is Moymoy, the 27-year old lead vocalist of a cover band Passionista who gets stints in Malasia and Singapore. Rofil is the younger bro, at 22, and the one wearing a wig. So much for hiding his identity! Know more of the brothers in the interview by Inquirer’s Pocholo Concepcion.

My first impression when i saw them. wla n talaga magawa mga kabataan ngayon…wierd people.. but then when i listened i began to like it and they made me laugh nawawala n rin pagod ko sa work…i admired their work. instead of getting into street punk, they make it in a sensational art work…
