The Six Finalists (and a Rumor) for Pinoy Idol 2008
There are now only six contenders for the title of Pinoy Idol!
After Penelope was eliminated this week, the six finalists are Warren Antig, Kid Camaya, Jayann Bautista, Gretchen Espina,Daryl Celis and Ram Chaves.

The six will be battling it out to win a prize package worth P5.7 million, including 1 million pesos in cash from SM Supermalls, a management contract from GMA Artist Center, a recording contract from Sony-BMG, a brand new car, and a condo unit from Avida Towers in New Manila.
Nice prize, no? But here’s a juicy tidbit. I got it from the rumor mill that one finalist spent thousands of pesos (the figure quoted was P30,000) to keep himself in contention. In the end, his conscience bothered him and he wanted to be the one eliminated instead of Penelope. Is there any truth to this report? Hmmm, I can’t say at this point.
Did Penelope deserve the elimination? Will the truth eventually come out? Will this rumor affect the final outcome of Pinoy Idol?
