Survivor Philippines Episode 11: Coconuts and Fish

Survivor-philippines-linkSurvivor Philippines returns this week with Episode 11, which aired on September 29, 2008 in the Philippines:

After the last Tribal Council, Naak went back to their camp. They discussed Emerson’s departure and his failed strategy. The question was asked, “Who voted for Kaye?”

Morning dawned, and the Naak tribe was starting to enjoy their surroundings. Kaye was digging for hints of who gave her that one vote at the last Tribal Council. It seemed that Zita’s choice became quite a controversy in their camp.

At the Jarakay Camp, meals became an almost-family-like affair. They ate around a common make-shift table. Marlon was analyzing Kiko’s (from Naak) personality.

John confessed to having problems sleeping because of the cold nights on the island.

The Reward Challenge

The Jarakay tribe prepared themselves for the reward challenge by painting themselves with mud, in war paint fashion. So what’s the reward?

Two huge fresh fish! Much much bigger than any of the seafood that either of the tribes has managed to catch.

The challenge was a modified basketball game, using coconuts as balls. The tribes were divided into two: muscles (to hold up the baskets) and shooters (to shoot the coconuts into the other team’s basket). The team whose basket of coconuts fell first to the ground lost the challenge.

Naak lost their coconuts. And Jarakay wins food that will help to strengthen them even more.

The challenge was also an opportunity for the tribes to get back the luxury items that they chose to bring with them to the island. It seems that Marlon was right in his assessment of Kiko, that’s he’s a deep thinker… Kiko’s luxury item was a journal!

After watching 11 episodes of Survivor Philippines, I finally have to say this: What is going on with Gigit’s Speedos? Eekk.

Survivor Philippines Fan Question: What will it take for Naak to win their first challenge?
