List of Melamine-Contaminated Milk Brands in the Philippines
The Philippine Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) has released a list of Chinese brands of infant milk powder that have been found to contain melamine.
Melamine is a chemical that is used in manufacturing certain types of plastic. It has recently been detected in some brands of milk from China. The chemical has been found to cause kidney stones and resulted in the hospitalization of thousands of people and the deaths of 4 babies.
The 24 products on the BFAD’s black list are:
- Greenwood Yili Fresh Milk
- Mengniu Drink
- Sanlu (Shijiazhuang Sanlu Group Inc.)
- Panda Baby (Shanghai Panda Dairy Co. Ltd.)
- Syrutra (Syrutra International Inc.)
- Gucheng (Shanxi Gucheng Dairy Co. Ltd.)
- Hero (Jiangxi Bright & Hero Dairy C)
- Huimin/HMDP (Baoji Huimin Milk Co. Ltd.)
- Mengniu (Mengniu Dairy)
- Kocci (Duojiaduo Dairy Industry Tianjin Co. Ltd.)
- Yaahili (Guangdong Yashili Group Co. Ltd.)
- Nanshan Beiyi (Hunan Peiyi Dairy Co.)
- Heilongjiang Qining Dairy Co.)
- Yashili (Shanxi Yashili Dairy Co.)
- Jinbishi (Shenzhen Jinbishi Milk Co. Ltd.)
- Scient (Guangzhou Shien Dairy Co.)
- Jinding (Guangzhou Jinding Dairy Co.)
- Yili (Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co.)
- Ausmeadow (Ausmeadow Nutriment Co. Ltd.)
- Suncare (Aikeding, Qingdao Suncare Nutritional Technology Co. Ltd.)

Consumers are advised to call the BFAD at 8425606, 8070721, 8070725 if they see these products in stores.

When will this end? why are people acting like money hungry machines… why does the government do anything…i hate to make this comment but, why is the government letting themselves be control by companies to raise there economic situation, cause obviously whatever is happening has a history to it…. i wonder want happened to the real purpose of the government today… i’m being unfair because they are also like that… i believe its better to voice out the truth and what’s really happening. has the gov’t lost trust in the people, and so they try to pretend to protect us. i say they are but they protect us from the truth… i say they trust us we trust them back…what makes a man powerful is not the amount of dead trees his holding but the amount people supporting him… everyone is already suspicious enough… i’m sure some people would know what i’m talking about, then you tell me what you think,
