Survivor Philippines Episode 14: A Tribal Emergency
The previous episode of Survivor Philippines ended with Jarakay’s John being taken ill, after they lost their first challenge. Episode 14, which covered Days 8-9 and aired on October 2, 2008, showed exactly what happened:
A Jarakay Emergency
John had been stoking the fire, blowing on it to get it going. Jace said that he was dehydrated. He lay down inside the tent. Veronica, who had Red Cross training, took over the ministrations over John. The show’s on-site doctor, Dr. Zoe Arugay, arrived with the medical team. They gave him oxygen and eventually took him out of the camp on a stretcher. It was a tense time for the entire tribe.
Camps in Contrast
While Naak celebrated their first immunity win and an abundant catch of crabs, Jarakay was experiencing several disappointments at the same time. They lost the challenge, John got sick, and their cooking pot was cracked.
John was brought to a hospital, where the Filipino medical staff had to have a translator around to explain the situation to the Thai doctors.
Back in the Jarakay Camp, the members were unsure about what would happen during Tribal Council. Will they vote? Who will be voted out?
