Survivor Philippines Episode 15: Jarakay’s First Tribal Council
Aired on October 3, 2008, the one-hour Episode 15 of Survivor Philippines opened with continued speculation and strategizing on the part of Jarakay Tribe over who will go home after their first Tribal Council.
Jarakay had a pleasant surprise in the middle of the day. John came back to the tribe after a hospital stay. Apparently, his potassium level had dropped, causing him to lose consciousness.
So, with John’s return, the tribe was back to normal.
Busy Tribes
At Naak, the tribe busied themselves with preparations for a possible rainstorm. Kiko secured their fire. Zita had a little fun, with a swing over the water.
At Jarakay, alliances and probable votes seemed to shift with the waves on the shore. Names that came out were Patani and Nina.
Jarakay’s First Tribal Council
Before Jarakay voted, they had a chance to talk about one member, who had to go out of the council temporarily. Here’s what the tribe had to say about each:
- Patani: a girl who craved attention
- Nina: very helpful and easy to get along with
- Veronica: strong and competitive personality (she got teased about her close relationship to Jace)
- Charisse: sensible and smart
- Gigit: contributes to the tribe, hardworking; with a “hidden agenda”
- Marlon: super “kulit”, smart, his stories may not be all believable
- Nikki: fragile
- John: silent worker
- Jace: has retained his Filipino-ness despite growing up elsewhere
Voting commenced. In something of a surprise for viewers, Gigit became the 3rd person to be voted out of Survivor Philippines. He got 8 out of the 9 votes.
Episode 15 ended with a shocking announcement from host Paolo Bediones: another round of voting.
