Filipina Soul

Episode 22 of Survivor Philippines aired on October 14, 2008.

After winning a meal of lechon de leche, rice and sauce at the last challenge of Survivor Philippines, the Naak tribe was given 30 minutes to enjoy their reward. Jarakay had to stay by the table, and endure the sights and sounds of Naak’s feast.

The situation caused a bit of tension between Naak’s Kiko and Rob. Rob so enjoyed the meal and accompanied it with loud comments about the good food, which Kiko found to be insensitive toward Jarakay. This was specially after the way Naak was welcomed by Jarakay into their camp.

The tension continued even as Naak worked on their new camp. Kiko let his tribemates know how he felt, which didn’t go down well with Rob. Jarakay’s Marlon, on the other hand, appreciated Kiko’s reaction on their behalf.

Naak had another visit from a snake, which incidentally is what “naak” means. Jarakay had a bit of fun on Marlon’s behalf, over his inability to dive into deep water during the last challenge.

Kiko and Rob eventually patched up the tension between them, and all was well again in the happy Naak tribe. One revelation of this episode is how caring Zita is toward her tribe. She helps them with their laundry and even dries it out for them. Rob took it upon himself to help her dry clothes in the fire, but had a bit of liberty playing with Kaye’s swim attire.

The episode ended with the tribes receiving their treemail about the next challenge.
