Survivor Philippines Episode 27: Naak Bathes

After a very dirty challenge in the last episode of Survivor Philippines, Naak won the reward challenge. Host Paolo Bediones called their effort “high-performance” and gave them their prize, a real bath with soap, shampoo and the works!

In Episode 27, which aired on October 21, 2008, Naak was shown enjoying their first real bath since they arrived on the island. Jarakay, still covered with mud, was left having to watch the other tribe and feeling very sorry for themselves. Marlon: “Nakakaawa tayo” (“We’re so pitiful.”).Charisse: “Let’s win tomorrow. Tama na yung 4 in a row.” (“Four in a row is enough”) This episode was quite a pitch for the products used. Naak had to use up all the products as part of their reward. Zita helped her tribemates clean themselves up. After their bath, Naak got to use deodorant too!

Refreshed and clean, Naak went back to their camp for Day 16. Morning came with Zita and Kiko collecting shells for their food. Kiko was described by Zita as “likas na mabait” (has a good nature). Zita was once again shown as the mommy of the tribe, always looking out for the others as though they were her own children. She said that she misses her children but she was doing this (Survivor Philippines) for them.

Now clean too, Jarakay discussed their strategy for the future merging of the tribes. Marlon describe how he was going to get Cris over to their side to neutralize the fact that Naak outnumbers them. Marlon and Jace seemed to be forming a new alliance, as the only male members left in Jarakay. Jace and Vern practiced their kicks using a plastic bottle on Marlon’s head. They taught Marlon a few self-defense moves.

At Naak, Rob and Kaye were kidding around, in a sort of romantic way (is there a relationship brewing here?Although Cris said that there’s nothing there). Around the fire that night, Naak talked about the coming merger and how they were still going to stick together.

At Jarakay, Charisse worried about her insect-bitten skin, and whether she would still be able to wear her sleeveless tops and skirts back home. It started to rain, and as tribe gathered around the fire, they exchanged scary stories.

Survivor Philippines Fan Question: Will the tribes continue to be loyal to one another after the merger, or will new alliances form?
