Abe Olandres gives up Pinoy Top Blogs
Abe Olandres, the premier/father of Philippine blogging, began a project two years to aggregate the most popular and most read blogs in the Philippines and rank them based on the number of unique monthly visitors.
It was good for Filipina Soul, because it allowed us to see our rankings go up among other Filipino blogs. Right now we’re in the steady Top 20 Pinoy blogs and know this is all-thanks to our readers (yep - that’s YOU).
Well this weekend, Abe revealed in YugaTech that he’s giving up the project and turning it over to Enthropia Philippines.
It’s sad to see Abe let go of this, but also good for him to make his first internet real estate sale. He has invested two years and $$$$ into this project so having something back is good for his business.
Now of course, I don’t think Filipina Soul will be affected in anyway by this development, since its primary function for our site is simply to rank the site. So nothing changes from where we are.. And good things have come to Abe, so “congrats, kabayan“!

it’s good move i guess since i’ve heard it that he was having a hard time maintaining the site due to the fact that he has other engagements and software problems.
