Sharon and KC: An Example of Great Parenting
You know her mom very well, and you know her, too. But beyond the Mega Star brand, and beyond being “the daughter of”, the way that Sharon Cuneta has raised KC will be an shining example to me of how parenting should be. These words are from KC herself, just before she went to see her father, Gabby Concepcion, after 10 long years:
…it was my mother who raised me and put herself through hell to keep our lives running, while he wasn’t around.
It is my mother who always put effort into avoiding speaking ill about him, to give me a great impression of my father, growing up.
Sure, I’ve had to tweak and manipulate my mind to adjust to a ‘new’ concept of family through the years. It’s worked out just fine, but it wasn’t easy.
Sure, I love my father and my step-father I love him a lot, but it is my mother who is worth more than anything. It is she, and not a man, who will walk me down the aisle for my wedding march.
Sure, I’m the daughter of. Get over it, we are all daughters/sons of someones.
Sure, I have my own life to live, my own name to build, and my own burdens to worry about.
But someone’s gotta begin the process of resolving unfinished business.
Life is just too damn short to be so angry all the time.
KC has no bitterness in her. And she was rewarded with love and joy in San Francisco. A heartwarming story that we can all learn from.
Another reason for me to truly admire Sharon Cuneta.

Hi fellow Kabayan! I saw your link via Ebeautydaily ( B5 ), and I love it! I have also read that blog entry from the famous KC Concepcion’s blog, and it was indeed heartwarming. She’s thinks so maturely for her age, and I admire her for it.

KC is a modern yet classic filipina. shes is exotic and simple. I salute sharon cuneta for a job well done. Im happy for KC’s showbiz approach and wont mind if my 10 y/o will continue to admire her for life.

hello kc,you know you are verry lucky to have a mom sharon,she is verry nice also and of course good singer she one of my vaforit so,please alays love both of your parents ,and dont forget to pray to our lord that gave ou a good parents.and godblessed you always cherry,

kz…6 yrs old me favorite ko mom at dad mo,even bata pa ko,,,coz lagi me may natutunan sa momy mo,,,u very lucky u have mom,,coz i have no mom,,,basta kip it up!!!
