Bloggers Chronicle Typhoon Xangsane
Typhoon Xangsane has left the Philippines but its effects are still being felt and talked about.
During the typhoon and immediately after, not a lot of bloggers were able to post to their blogs due to the lack of electricity. But there were some persistent souls who managed a post or two:
Manuel L. Quezon III writes about unleashing billboard vigilantes
JFujiwara has several posts at his blog, Mr. Fuji Meets Manila, including a good number of photos of Makati
Noemi Lardizabal-Dado writes about the aftermath and the billboards that caused a lot of grief during and after the storm (photos)
Batang Baler has one photo of a window that was the only thing that separated him from the fury of the storm. I don’t know why but I can’t take my eyes off that photo.
Such was the intensity of Milenyo. My beloved UPLB wasn’t spared, as ancient trees that I’ve loved for years were brought down.

But the saddest thing is the loss of life. A landslide in Bagong Silang, near Los Baños, brought tragedy to a family. Many others have died and are still missing. My heart is heavy for those who have been affected, and I pray for comfort and help for them.
