Christmas Carnival: Greenhills, San Juan

by Gloria Gamat on November 21st, 2005

As a child I still remember watching the famous COD Department Store Christmas Displays at the Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City.

Two years ago, this 43 year-old Grand Show found its new home at Greenhills Shopping Center, San Juan, Metro Manila; now called Christmas Carnival.

The display, which formally opened on Wednesday (November 16), features magicians, clowns, and cyclists made of fiber glass, moving in front of three-dimensional replicas of a church, a castle and a ferris wheel. The free show is accompanied by a narration and background music. It runs for 30 minutes and is replayed from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. with 15-minute intervals.
