Erik Santos to Sing at the Beijing Olympics
We’re counting down the days to 8-8-08! We’re sure to keep an eye out for any and all news related to the Olympic Games at Beijing. One of the things we’ve learned lately is that Erik Santos will be performing at the event.
Erik was among an international group of performers chosen by the Chinese government. He has been working hard at rehearsing, and is also learning some Mandarin.
Reports say that he will be singing I Believe I can Fly sometime during the closing ceremonies of the Games. For a peek at his rendition of this song in a music video, click here.
Congratulations to Erik for being chosen to represent the country among Asia’s best singers at the Olympics! We’ll be looking forward to seeing him perform.

i gotta say, i never liked erik santos in the first place. his face annoys the hell out of me… when i first heard about him singing in the olympics, i cracked up laughing. i didn’t believe it just because details for the closing ceremony has to be kept in total secrecy (but look at erik, strutting around and telling anyone who would listen about him performing in the closing ceremony). but the funny thing is, the way erik’s camp announced his appearance in the closing ceremony made it seem that he was going to be in the ACTUAL closing ceremony, and not some sideshow to the olympics… it’s like they were intentionally misleading people to believe in that crap. delusional is all i can say right now.

Kasalanan ng press kung bakit na misunderstood ang news na ito. Please click on this link>>>http://www.inquirer.net/vdo/player.php?vid=1193, he clearly said that he will be singing sa closing ceremonies ng “Beijing Olympic Festival”. Please know that the “Olympic Festival” is different from the “Olympic Games”. The closing for Olympic Games was August 24. Erik will perform on September 16 at the closing of Beijing Olympics Festival. The date September 16 is clearly posted on his website. It was the press who did not clarified which closing ceremony Erik will be appearing to.

hmm.. i was watching the closing ceremony… i didn’t even see erik santos singing there. i was like where the heck is erik santos? they’re saying he’s going to sing there, but i didn’t see him at all. this is so unfair, i mean a lot of filipinos have been waited to see his performance on the olympics but he didn’t sing there, because of this, some filipinos will be disappoint. i think this is the “press” fault, they’re confusing people. this is so embarassed!!

oo nga di nman kasalanan ni erik noh! di kce inintindi ung article, malinaw nman sa beijing olympics festival sinabi nya di nman nya sinabing sa mismong closing. Sept 16 malinaw un diba? at hindi sa closng ng beijing olympics

from the beginning, sabi naman ni erik, ng esfo, sa news. sept 16th xa.
walang sinabi na sa 24th. so yung mga nag-abang sa kanya dun sa 24th,
hindi nio lang siguro alam.
yung sabi was “erik will be part of the olympics closing ceremonies concert”.
this is quite different.
it just happened na both Summer Olympics and Special Olympics(Paralympics), Beijing China ang host.
tas nagkataon/o baka sinadya, na magkasunod.
nung sa 24th was the closing ceremony of the summer olympics.
it was a show.
after the olympics, paralympics naman.
may closing ceremonies den.
erik is scheduled to appear on the closing ceremonies concert of the whole olympic event.
kung sa 24th, yun yung para sa summer olympics alone. tas yung sa paralympics naman, para sa kanila.
yung ke erik, is a concert. a concert para sa buong olympic festival.
kung nabasa niyo yung artik, at napanood nio sa tv.
ginawa ng china ang concert to celebrate the success of the whole olympic event.
its a way to thank everyone who watched and supported the olympic games.
diba nga free concert pa ito.
i think kaya sa sept, kasi nga after olympics, may paralympics pa. alangan naman isandwich yung event.
tinatapos lang nila ang buong festival, saka yung concert.
as for Erik Santos. Goodluck sa concert. Make us proud

Ang Summer olympic Games at Paralympic Games talagang magkasunod yn. The host country will be the venue for both games. The closing ceremony of the Summer olympic games was held last Aug 24 but still the olympic flame is not yet extinguished because the paralympic games is still to be held. So in essence the games is not yet closed. Erik will sing at the Closing ceremony of the whole olympic games which will culminate right after the last event of the paralympic games is over. So yung mga tangang nag-antay nung 24 wala talaga silang makikita dahil di naman inespecify ni erik na sa 24 sya kakanta. ang sabi nya at ng website nya, sa sept 16 sya kakanta which is the closing ceremony and the extinguishing of the olympic flame date.

grabeh nman ung mga ngslita ng mga words n d kyang lamunin ng tao, sna lng poh rumespeto kau ng ibang tao kung guzto nyong mrespeto, if sumone of u got anoyyed of the face of mr. erik santos den he/she must think dat maybe sumbody s anoyed also on her/his face and sed d same thing/ words that he/she told to mr. santos………..
you know what u have no respect to other people, i’m not dat fan of erik santos but just i red ur messages, it is showed dat most of u lost der respect

Siguro ilusyon ni Erik Santos na makasali sa Closing Ceremonies ng Beijing Olympics…kailangan niyang magising sa katutuhanan na hanggang Philippines lang ang beauty nya….
Pero kung kumanta man siya sa Olympic Festival whatsoever, kailangan maglabas siya ng video kahit sa Youtube man lang…para may evidence, or else…
