Feast of Sto. Niño

My father had a Santo Niño collection. I guess for children being raised as Catholic, it was easier to relate to Jesus if we can imagine him as a child.
In the Philippines the 3rd Sunday of January (this year, 15th January) is the feast of the Santo Niño in several parts of the country: (the original) ati-atihan in Kalibo (Aklan), the ati-atihan in Cadiz City (Negros Occidental), in Tondo and in Nayong Pilipino (Manila), the Dinagyang in Iloilo City, and the centuries-old Sinulog in Cebu.
Cebu, the Philippines’ Queen City of the South, celebrates the Sinulog Festival, coinciding with the feast of the Santo Niño de Cebu (patron saint of the city of Cebu).
The feast day of the Santo Niño commemorates the baptism of the chieftain of the province, his queen, and his subjects in 1521. At this ceremony, an image of the Santo Niño was presented as a gift to Queen Juana by the explorer Ferdinand Magellan. (Source: Wikipedia)
The Sinulog Festival of Cebu City is both religious and cultural. It is offered in honor of the Sto. Niño as the Divine Child, God, creator and protector of the world. As a cultural celebration, it is offered and dedicated to the Sto. Niño for the cultural upliftment of the people of Cebu.
