Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture in SoCal
Are you in Southern California or thereabouts? There will be a huge gathering and celebration there in a couple of weeks.
The 17th Annual Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture will celebrate “modern and traditional Filipino music, dance, art, film and food”. It will held on September 6-7, 2008, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Pt. Fermin Park in San Pedro, California. This year’s theme is “katutubong landas tungo masaganang bukas (native ways toward a prosperous future)”.
Featured in the festival will be 85 exhibitors, hundreds of volunteers, more than 1,200 artists, and over 25,000 guests. HappySlip’s Christine Gambito will be there to participate (you won’t want to miss her comedy set!). Marvin of Burnt Lumpia also said he’d drop by. So you won’t be by your lonesome if you go! :)
