Filipino Recipes on the Web

by Maricar on December 12th, 2006

Being away from my mom and the homegrown foods that I’ve been accustomed to has made it imperative for me to learn to cook a number of dishes. When I was just starting to learn, there were only a handful of websites available as references. I haven’t had to search for any recipe in recent memory, since obtaining the very helpful Philippine Cookbook by Reynaldo Alejandro. But today I Googled “Filipino recipe” and was delighted to find that there are more resources today than ever before.

Here’s some of the websites I found:

http://www.filipinorecipe.com/

http://www.kusinaatbp.com/

http://www.lutongbahay.com/

http://www.kumain.com/

http://www.filipinofoodrecipes.net/

http://www.duyan.com/

http://www.carinderia.net/ - one of the oldest and one I’ve referred to in the past

Happy cooking!

I am featuring Bisayan foods. I thought that reading about foods we have grown up with might ease some homesickness or relive memories. I would appreciate it if you can refer me to some Pinoy or Bisaya friends. Thanks.
