Infant decapitated during childbirth at Baguio City hospital
Unfortunately, it’s a true horror story.
According to a news out of Journal (translated from Tagalog), an infant died when the head got separated from the body during childbirth.
Based on the account of parents Amy and Bernabe Diaz, they could not fathom how her infant got decapitated, relating that the head even rolled on the delivery floor. The mother gave birth at the Baguio City General Hospital and Medical Center. The hospital administrator refused to comment. Authorities are still waiting on the autopsy results of the case.
How and WHY this could happen at a major hospital is beyond me.

And I could not believe it myself. The doctor stationed at that time was a very kind and gentle person.
Although I have seen a video of a doctor decapitating a dead baby with a scalpel while its head protruded out of a woman’s vagina, a newborn’s head suddenly detaching from its body during a deemed normal delivery process is beyond me either.

This is a really serious issue which all healthcare students, medical professionals, and Healthcare learning institutions should take seriously… being in a profession that deals with peoples lives means that we should not take our responsibilities for granted.. we should be really careful in everything we do because we are liable to whatever happens to the patient/client. Also, i hope that through this..the learning institutions, colleges, or universities (who train nurses or doctors, medical courses) should make sure that their students have a good knowledge foundation of what is normal or what is right and so on in order to function well and to be able to carry out duties or responsibilities in order to avoid malpractice & negligence…

No qonder nilalait tayo ng ibang bansa!! Nagkandaubos na kasi lahat ng magagaling na medical professionals natin dito sa pinas!!! Di natin sila masisi, wala kasi kakwenta kwenta ang bansa natin. Kungdi tayo aalis dito mamamatay tayonh lahat ng dilat!!! Thank to the arroyo government!
