Jumong Episode 64aOutside Okjeo, Ju Mong, Soseono and the trios are fighting against Han and Buyeo’s Yeona army. Meanwhile, in Buyeo palace, Naro is told some people have fled from their border successfully, and Naro tells the soldier not to alarm Daeso about it. Bubunno and Naro go to Daeso next, and Daeso awards Bubunno two rewards as promised for killing Ju Mong. Daeso hands him two scrolls, one showing his status as honorable Buyeo member, and the other a certificate of land ownership. Naro urges Bubunno to accept these and Bubunno thanks Daeso for such. Daeso then tells Bubunno he will use him heavily in his empire thus he should help commander Naro in offensive strategies and training.

Jumong Episode 64bAfter battling the group of Yeona army, Soseono and Sayong check out the road ahead and the two report to Ju Mong they will soon reach Eup-ru (previously mis-spelled as ‘Eumnu’ in summaries); however they will have to find the pirate lord by the name of Bu-wui-yeom who can help them transport grains from the south to Jolbon but no one knows where his group is hiding. Ju Mong asks about the surrounding areas and Soseono says she may have known contact in the nearby Sam-cheon-mak since due to past merchant dealings. Thus, the trios go around Sam-cheon village to see if they can find Buwuiyeom. Meanwhile in Buyeo palace, Budeukbul and the ministers watch as Sachuldo administrators are summoned to court by Daeso, and the ministers wonder what change has occurred. Jaeboo minister asks Budeukbul if he knows anything and Budeukbul only appears startled. Daeso first compliments the Maga administrator for pulling Sachuldo along well, after the previous Maga’s death, and Daeso then tells Sachuldo he is preparing to send army towards Jolbon for attack and announces King Geumwa already approved such, and shows the court the scroll from Geumwa as proof. Budeukbul tells Daeso they are not ready for war and asks Daeso to reconsider, and Head General Heukchi also states they are not powerful enough to attack Jolbon yet. Daeso laughs and states a Jolbon without Ju Mong will not be so difficult to defeat and the court is silenced. Daeso explains his assassin already killed Ju Mong, even though Jolbon is keeping Ju Mong’s death a secret for now.

Jumong Episode 64cBudeukbul asks Daeso how he will prepare for battle when they don’t yet have enough army or money, but Daeso says if the ministers and Sachuldos put together their treasures and monies then they will have plenty. The ministers argue that is a stretch, but King Geumwa arrives and accuses the ministers of robbing Buyeo citizens all this while. The ministers complain they did no such but Geumwa asks Songju to bring in a jewelry box, and tells the court he already found out everything about the ministers and states once they win their war, the will be repaid handsomely for their contributions. Next, Daeso goes to oracle Mawuyeong, and asks the oracle to offer up her treasures to Buyeo war efforts. Oracle Mawuryeong tries to argue saying that is not what the heavens would want but Daeso order her to be quiet and to offer her treasured possessions to court immediately. Meanwhile Yoohwa is in turmoil over the news of Ju Mong’s death and she ponders its truth while Geumwa summons Budeukbul. Geumwa tells Budeukbul he had in the past been suspicious and resentful of him, but now he wishes to overcome Buyeo’s difficulties in the future together. Budeukbul is touched. And just then the messenger arrives telling Geumwa Yoohwa has asked to see him. Yoohwa and Geumwa meet and Yoohwa asks Geumwa if he knows anything about Ju Mong, and Geumwa replies it seems Ju Mong has died, and Yoohwa is about to faint from the startling words. Yoohwa says though she cannot believe this she wishes to verify Ju Mong’s death herself and asks Geumwa to let her and Yesoya and Yuri go now since they are no longer needed for hostage now that Ju Mong is dead, but Geumwa says he cannot as Jolbon will soon be attacked by Han and Buyeo and though he understands her sorrow he will not have her be in danger there. Yoohwa is furious and asks Geumwa if he really knows what it feels to lose a child, and Geumwa says the deceased Ju Mong is his son too and thus he will protect Ju Mong’s wife and son in Buyeo. Yoohwa says if Geumwa really cherished Ju Mong he would’ve acknowledged Ju Mong’s Damul army, and Yoohwa tells Geumwa not to deceive himself or her any longer and states what he has done to her is worse than death by keeping her in Buyeo, and Yoohwa asks Geumwa to let her go one last time. Geumwa is teary and holds onto Yoohwa’s hands and kneels before her, telling her he never existed in her heart despite the years passing by and Geumwa gets up and states since he cannot have her heart, he will at least hold onto her body, and that he will keep her body with him to death. Yoohwa is beat and tears as she is speechless. When Yoohwa leaves, Bubunno watches her pass by and he feels his heart heavy.

In Ma-gOkjeo-ja-geo-ri near Okjeo, the Oh-ma-hyeop finds a contact and they are about to go and meet him when they witness Okjeo army men passing by. After avoiding being seen by army men, Ju Mong and the trio meet with their contact and Ju Mong asks him if he can help them meet the pirate lord Buwuiyeom, but their contact tells them no one can find Buwuiyeom, only Buwuiyeom can find them when he wants to make a deal. However their conversation is overheard by a pirate from Buwuiyeom’s group and Buwuiyeom is soon notified about Ju Mong’s presence and they then capture Ju Mong and the Oh-ma-hyeop trio as they are searching about. Ju Mong announces he is not here to harm them and asks to see Buwuiyeom. Thus, Ju Mong and Oh-ma-hyeop are taken before the pirate lord Buwuiyeom and when Ju Mong announces who he is he is met by mocking laughter of disbelief. Buwuiyeom then asks Ju Mong to prove his identity and orders his man to fetch a jug of wine, then telling Ju Mong to drink it all. Ju Mong obliges and afterwards Buwuiyeom has Mari tied up to a tree and orders Ju Mong to show his divine bow-shooting skills. Ju Mong hesitates as he fears for Mari’s life and asks Buwuiyeom to kill him instead if he will not believe his identity but Buwuiyeom insists and Mari also urges Ju Mong to go ahead. Ju Mong closes his eyes and focuses as Haemosu had taught him, and Ju Mong successfully shoots the target next to Mari whose life is spared. Buwuiyeom is shocked as are his men, but Buwuiyeom insists they are Okjeo’s army men and orders Ju Mong and the Oh-ma-hyeop to be killed. Just then Okjeo army men surround them and begin attacking the pirates. Ju Mong with his quick shooting saves Buwuiyeom’s life during the fight, and Ju Mong continues to fight off Okjeo army force for Buwuiyeom.

Jumong Episode 64dNear Eup-ru, Soseono and the Damul/Gyeru men are led by Buwuiyeom’s men to their mountain fort, and only Soseono is allowed inside where Buwuiyeom and Ju Mong are waiting. Ju Mong tells Buwuiyeom he wishes to go southbound to get grains for Jolbon, and Buwuiyeom says it is impossibly dangerous and though Ju Mong has saved his life, he cannot risk his whole pirate family for such. Soseono and Ju Mong ask earnestly for his help and says that is the only way to fight Han nation. Buwuiyeom finally agrees and tells Ju Mong he will steer his ship southbound but asks Ju Mong to offer them ample incentive for their whole group to risk their lives for Ju Mong. Next, Ju Mong and Soseono meet with their advisors and Sayong says no matter what they have to persuade the pirates, and Jaesa wonders how much they need to offer them while Soseono says they will have to give whatever it takes.

Jumong Episode 64eMeanwhile in Buyeo, Yoohwa appears ill and pale as she is kneeling outside the king’s chamber. Yesoya checks on her and Yoohwa asks her to leave, saying she will remain kneeling until the king allows them to leave and if he doesn’t she will die kneeling hoping that Geumwa will at least allow Yesoya and Yuri to go if Yoohwa dies. Inside the chamber, the physician tells Geumwa Yoohwa has been kneeling without food or water for days and at this rate she will die kneeling thus the king must stop her. The queen’s maid reports to her Yoohwa has been kneeling for 4 days without food and water, and Seolran wonders why Geumwa is still lingering onto Yoohwa when Ju Mong is already dead and they don’t need her as hostage. The queen replies the king is still wishing to win over Yoohwa’s heart. At night, Yoohwa continues to kneel and Yesoya kneels with her. As Bubunno watches Yoohwa losing her strength and fainting over at last. Yesoya calls out to Yoohwa, and Bubunno rushes to them and orders the men to escort Yoohwa to her chamber immediately. Bubunno watches as the physician looks over Yoohwa and as Yoohwa meagerly regains her consciousness. The physician is worried about Yoohwa’s life and urges her to eat some medicine but Yoohwa mumbles she is already prepared for death and tells the physician to leave. Afterwards, Bubunno can no longer contain himself and confesses to Yoohwa he is the one whom Daeso sent to kill Ju Mong. Bubunno then reveals though he has said to Daeso Ju Mong is dead, Ju Mong is in actuality still alive. Yoohwa asks if it is true, and Bubunno replies it is true and Ju Mong is surely alive as it was his idea to send him back to Buyeo with false news that Ju Mong died. Bubunno says his family is taken care for, thus he will soon go back to Gyeru to repay his debt to Ju Mong, and Bubunno urges Yoohwa to remain healthy for Ju Mong’s sake.

Daeso visits Yangjeong in Hyeonto, and Yangjeong is in disbelief over Ju Mong’s death, but Daeso assures him Ju Mong is dead, and Yangjeong vows to reclaim the lands Damul took from them and Daeso says to do as Yangjeong pleases. Daeso then asks Yangjeong to help Buyeo with their material needs with promise that Yangjeong will get more after the war with Jolbon and Yangjeong agrees. Just then, the Han’s royal minister Hwang arrives in Hyeonto and Daeso asks Yangjeong who minister Hwang is. Yangjeong replies Hwang is distantly related to Han imperial and he wishes to take the Hyeonto governor position from him. Yangjeong and Daeso go out to meet minister Hwang and Yeongpo tells Daeso he did not expect to see him here. Yeongpo then tells Hwang Daeso is his brother and Hwang greets Daeso, introducing himself and complimenting Daeso for the contribution of joining Han and Buyeo.
Yangjeong asks Hwang why he is here and Hwang replies the imperial are concerned that Yangjeong once again delayed the offerings to Han imperial and Hwang says he is here to see if he can help Yangjeong. Yangjeong states he will not need Hwang’s help, and asks Hwang to go and rest as he will put together a feast for him.

Jumong Episode 64fMeanwhile, Ju Mong thinks over the deal with Buwuiyeom and Ju Mong tells his people he will go meet with Buwuiyeom. Ju Mong hands over a scroll containing the word ‘goguryeo’ on it. Buwuiyeom is angry and asks Ju Mong is he is joking and Ju Mong states the people of his pirate group are people who must live like sinners in hiding in death and in life, thus what Ju Mong is offering is the chance for Buwuiyeom and his men to live as rightful people not having to hide under the label of sinners, as he will share the new nation of goguryeo with them. Buwuiyeom thinks over the deal and his men tell him though to live righteously would be their dream but if they lose their life then it’s all meaningless. Next, Buwuiyeom meets with Ju Mong and Soseono, and Buwuiyeom shows them the article of clothing which belonged to his deceased father. Buwuiyeom reveals his father was a Damul army who served commander Haemosu, and upon Haemosu’s death the mountain fort of Damul army was destroyed, and in his death, Buwuiyeom’s father gave the clothes to Buwuiyeom who escaped and until this day Buwuiyeom is still unable to forget the look on his father’s face as he died. Buwuiyeom stands before Ju Mong, and then kneels before Ju Mong, telling him he will follow commander Ju Mong’s wish and he will no longer live as a sinner and as Ju Mong asked, he will restore his father’s honor.
Ju Mong is pleased and he and Soseono return to their corridor and tells the trios Buwuiyeom has agreed to serve them. Mari asks when they will leave and Ju Mong says nothing when Soseono announces she will go. Ju Mong says if something happens to Soseono Gyeru will be in a lost state, and Soseono replies she will succeed in her dealing and asks Ju Mong to trust her with the trip. Later, Soseono thinks alone outside, as Ju Mong watches her. Soseono turns and sees Ju Mong watching her and the two exchange a brief look. Ju Mong walks up to her and says he feels uneasy about sending her on the trip, and Soseono she too is afraid but she will think of him and that she will surely return to build the nation with him. Ju Mong appears touched, and Soseono glances at him.

Yeontabal tells the chiefs Ju Mong cannot be seen for now, and the chiefs ask if Ju Mong is really dead as they rumors say, and Yeonchaeryeong says even Soseono is missing and asks Yeontabal to reveal their whereabouts. Yeontabal replies he cannot reveal their location, and Songyang is angry and states seeing that Ju Mong cannot keep his promise they will go and look for a way to save Jolbon on their own. In Buyeo, Daeso tells Heukchi before they attack Jolbon, he will first meet with Songyang, and Heukchi says he will wait for Daeso to return before attacking.
