Jumong-episode-76

Jumong fans, here’s Episode 76. The story gets better and better!

***

Jumong-episode-76aFor Daeso’s coronation, Ju Mong and Biryu arrive in Buyeo with their Goguryeo generals and soldiers, but at the palace gate Naro tells them the generals and ministers must shed their weapons and soldiers at the gate. Mari complains, but Naro insists that is the Buyeo law and there’s no exemption to it. Ju Mong orders his men to follow the rule, and Naro leads them into the palace, where Daeso and Budeukbul meet up with Ju Mong and his men. Ju Mong congratulates Daeso for becoming king, and Daeso thanks Ju Mong for coming to congratulate him. Daeso then glances at the young men opposite him, and Mari explains the young man is Prince Biryu. Ju Mong then tells Daeso he had heard about Geumwa’s health and states he will visit him first. Meanwhile, Buyeo queen finds out Ju Mong has come and she becomes furious, shouting out she will go see him herself, but the queen appears shaken and nearly faints before she can run out. Songju informs Geumwa about Ju Mong’s arrival and Songju asks Geumwa if he should tell Ju Mong to come next time instead, but Geumwa says to allow Ju Mong in. Ju Mong comes in and Geumwa dismisses Songju, then invites Ju Mong to have a seat. Geumwa is stern-faced and asks Ju Mong why he came when Goguryeo wasn’t invited. Ju Mong replies he knows his trip to Buyeo is more dangerous than ever, and Geumwa asks why he came when he knows it is foolish, but Ju Mong states it is not a foolish trip as he is here to find a way for both Buyeo and Goguryeo to survive. Geumwa looks at Ju Mong and Ju Mong states Geumwa knows well too that at this rate only one of them can survive. Geumwa replies he knows that the two nations have lived without confrontation for over a decade, and it is due to Ju Mong’s greatness that Goguryeo never attacked Buyeo even when it was capable of. However, Ju Mong says now even if he wants to maintain peace with Buyeo he can’t because Han nation has inserted itself between them. Ju Mong then states he is here to join alliance with Buyeo, but Geumwa says everything is now in Daeso’s hands, thus Ju Mong should discuss it with Daeso instead. Ju Mong asks Geumwa to persuade Daeso, however Geumwa replies he will not make Daeso do anything, and at this Ju Mong is disheartened.

Jumong-episode-76bDaeso discusses with his advisors what to do with Ju Mong, and Budeukbul replies Ju Mong has come as the supreme emperor of Goguryeo to congratulate Daeso, thus there shouldn’t be a problem, but the Jaeboo minister says soon the governor of Yodong fort will arrive and once Governor Hwang sees Goguryeo people here there will be trouble. The Wae minister agrees, but Budeukbul says the ministers misjudged the situation, and says Daeso has control over the situation and he just needs to decide whether to join alliance with Han or Goguryeo after figuring out which is better for Buyeo. Budeukbul then says at current situation Buyeo is not strong enough to defeat either Han or Goguryeo, thus they must build alliance to escape crisis. Daeso agrees, but just then Naro comes in with news that the queen has passed out. Daeso rushes to her who is gasping in bed, and the palace doctor says he is unable to find out what’s wrong with her since she is too upset, and a frantic Daeso yells at him, then tells the maid to go and fetch the oracle Mawuryeong. Just then, Yang Seolran watches as Ju Mong and his men pass by in the palace. Haochen tells her Ju Mong has come to join hands with Buyeo, and Seolran states unless Ju Mong is killed her fury over her father’s death will not be avenged. At this Haochen tells her she must remain calm. Next, Ju Mong meets with his men, who are worried about protecting Ju Mong’s danger since they have no guards or weapons with them, and Mookgeo says he will go back to Goguryeo at once to prepare their army, but Ju Mong says nothing will go wrong in the time being, and Ohyi then says they should at least gather some soldiers by the border to show Buyeo that Goguryeo is strong and not easily rid of. Moogol agrees, and urges Ju Mong to give them the order. However Ju Mong says there’s no need and states all the leaders are gathered in Buyeo right now and he wants the world to know why he is here and Daeso won’t be able to scheme anything easily. At night time, Ju Mong is outside in the courtyard, as the trio guard him. Biryu comes and tells Ju Mong he doesn’t understand why Ju Mong is doing this since Buyeo is an enemy, and Ju Mong says Buyeo is a nation that raised him and their enemy is not Buyeo, but Han nation instead. Biryu then asks Ju Mong for approval to engage in the fighting competition during the coronation festivities to test his skills. Moogol says Biryu is skilled enough to enter and Ju Mong agrees, with Biryu saying he will do his best.

Jumong-episode-76cMeanwhile despite being ill, Yesoya fetches a bundle of laundry to wash for work, and the inn woman rushes in telling Soya not to do hard work. The woman then tells Soya people are celebrating all over Buyeo and even the emperor of Goguryeo has come to congratulate Daeso’s coronation. Soya is startled to hear about Ju Mong, and the woman then goes on saying how the king of Goguryeo used to be a prince in Buyeo and such. Nearby the palace, men are lining up to sign up for the fight competition, and Yuri puts down his name on the list, when Prince Biryu arrives accompanied by Ohyi and Moogol. Yuri recognized Biryu’s face and hides himself. Ohyi tells the guard that Biryu is a prince of Goguryeo and he will join in on the fight competition. Yuri overhears from the distance but turns his face again so he is not seen. In Buyeo palace, Naro tells Daeso the prince of Goguryeo wants to enter the fight competition and how embarrassing it would be for Ju Mong if the prince was outfought by someone with much better skills. At this Daeso tells Naro to allow Biryu to fight on stage and to round up highly skilled Buyeo guards to enter in the competition as well. Next, the oracle Mawuryeong arrives to see Daeso, and Daeso asks what is wrong with the queen when the doctor can’t even find any illness. Mawuryeong says the queen’s sick because Ju Mong is here and he has brought bad emanation with him that is damaging Buyeo’s radiance. Daeso asks if this means the queen will remain ill while Ju Mong is here and Mawuryeong says she will put up a shrine for the queen as to restore her health. Meanwhile, Prince Yeongpo wanders around the fort drunk when Majin comes to tell him Ju Mong himself went to Buyeo to join hands. Yeongpo is dismayed and says Buyeo and Han nation must join alliance instead in order for him to survive and orders Majin to prepare for departure immediately. Yeongpo meets up with Governor Hwang who says if Buyeo and Goguryeo join hands then Han nation will attack Buyeo, and the army in Chang-ahn and Yodong are prepared for war. Back in Goguryeo palace, Bubunno urges Queen Soseono to dispatch army toward Buyeo border in order to protect King Ju Mong, but Yeontabal says they can’t do anything without Ju Mong’s order, and Soseono agrees saying they should trust in the king and wait.

Jumong-episode-76dIn Buyeo palace, the chiefs of Seon-san tribe and Yang-maek nation pay their respect to Ju Mong and the leaders say they want to be allies with Goguryeo. Ju Mong greets them back and accepts their proposal. Naro overhears such and goes to report to Daeso about it. Just then Governor Hwang arrives with message from Han imperial. Daeso reads the scroll and Hwang asks Daeso what he will do about Goguryeo’s offer of alliance. Daeso says he is not yet the emperor of Buyeo, but Hwang says Daeso is already like the emperor since he has all the power now, and Hwang warns Daeso to make a right decision with the warning that if Daeso joins hands with Goguryeo then the Han army will be heading toward Buyeo. Hwang leaves and runs into Ju Mong and the Goguryeo men, and Hwang tells Ju Mong he is Hwang Ja-kyeong, and asks Ju Mong if he remembers him. Ju Mong says Hwang is the governor of Yodong, and Hwang says he will never forget the ridicule he received then, but Ju Mong is firm and states Hwang will end up like the deceased governor of Hyeonto, and if Hwang fears death he should flee to Chang-ahn now. Ju Mong then moves on and Hwang remains standing with hatred in his eyes. Meanwhile, Yuri is fighting in the preliminary round of competition, and Biryu who watches from the gathered crowd recognizes Yuri, and tells Ohyi and Moogol Yuri is the one who attacked him when he was heading toward Buk-ok previously. Moogol says if that is the guy then they should get rid of him, but Biryu says they are now standing on Buyeo land thus they shouldn’t do anything here. Yuri wins the first match and smiles, but his smile halts when he sees Biryu staring at him. Biryu walks up to him and Yuri bows gently. Biryu asks Yuri if he recognizes him and Yuri says nothing. Biryu then says he endured suffering last time they met but this time he won’t suffer the same loss again and tells Yuri to be sure to make it to the final round. Yuri’s friends come up to him and they are worried Biryu might do something to them since he remembers them, but Yuri says seeing that he hasn’t done anything he won’t do anything here. The friend then says since Yuri won 2 rounds, he only has 3 more men to beat before going on the final stage. Thus, Yuri and Biryu continue their individual rounds and both make it to the final round.

Jumong-episode-76eOhyi and Moogol escort Biryu to Ju Mong and report to Ju Mong Biryu has made it all the way to the final round. Ju Mong compliments Biryu, who says since the final round is performed before all the nations he will surely win to bring glory to Goguryeo. Naro brings news of Biryu making to the final round to Daeso, and Daeso is upset that none of their guards beat Biryu yet, however Naro says Biryu’s opposing match is highly skilled thus they shouldn’t worry too much about Biryu wining in the end. Outside the palace, Yuri and his friends bring the good news to Yesoya who smiles when she hears of Yuri making to the final round, but when she hears that Yuri will be fighting against Goguryeo’s Prince Biryu, her face becomes frozen. Yuri vows he will surely win to accomplish the task his mom has asked him to do, and the inn woman asks what that task is, but Soya brushes off saying it is nothing important. That night, Soya checks up on Yuri as he is asleep, and Soya gazes at her son with tearful eyes… Next morning, before the holy shrines, and all the leaders of Buyeo, Goguryeo, and other nations, Hae Daeso and Yang Seolran are crowned emperor and empress of Buyeo. The queen remains ill and as she lies in bed she pleads her maid to bring her out to see Daeso crowned since she has waited for this day all her life. The maid apologizes saying that is too much for the queen at current state and the queen says this is all Ju Mong’s fault. After the coronation, Geumwa tells Daeso since Daeso is now the emperor it is time for him to retire and leave. Daeso asks Geumwa where he would go and says he shouldn’t leave when he still has much to teach him, but Geumwa says he will live peacefully among the people but before he leaves, Geumwa says he will heed one last warning to Daeso which is not to let his emotions get in the way when he makes decisions for the future of Buyeo, especially in regard to Ju Mong. Daeso says he will heed the advice with his heart. Next, the inn woman tells Soya she should hurry and go to the competition stage to watch her son fight in the competition and Soya gets up to go after some hesitation. Meanwhile, Naro assures Daeso Prince Biryu isn’t skilled enough to win, and Daeso warns Naro if he wins he will put all the blame on him.

Jumong-episode-76fAt last the final round of fight competition is held with the newly crowned king of Buyeo, and king of Goguryeo watching. Daeso gives Naro the signal to start and drums are rung as the competition begins, with Prince Biryu faced against Yuri. As the two young men begin their exchange, the crowd cheers. Among the gathered is Soya, who notices Ju Mong sitting high up by the stage. Soya begins to weep but she wipes her tears away as she turns her eyes on Yuri. However, just then Ju Mong catches her face among the crowd, and Ju Mong is startled. Suddenly Soya meets his eyes and she too becomes startled and frantically she leaves her place to hide. Ju Mong tells Ohyi and Hyeopbo that he thinks he saw Yesoya and tells the two men to go find her. Next, Ohyi and Hyeopbo comb through the crowd looking for Soya, but she has disappeared and Ju Mong appears lost. Just then, Yuri wins against Biryu, and Daeso bursts out laughing. Hwang laughs along but looks over at Ju Mong who is preoccupied. Afterwards, Biryu apologizes to Ju Mong for losing, but Ju Mong says not to worry about it and to rest. Ohyi and Hyeopbo return and report to Ju Mong they were unable to find her and perhaps Ju Mong was mistaken. Meanwhile, Daeso has invited Yuri to the palace and offers wine to Yuri telling Yuri he did a great deed for him. Daeso then tells Naro to make Yuri a palace guard to be close to him, and Naro is surprised. Daeso then tells Naro he will go and meet with Ju Mong next. Just then, Governor Hwang and Yeongpo are meeting wondering what they can do to stop Ju Mong and Yeongpo says the only sure way is to kill Ju Mong. Daeso and Ju Mong talk in private, as their respective men guard from outside. Daeso who sits across from Ju Mong tells Ju Mong from now on he will acknowledge Goguryeo as a nation and Ju Mong as its king, however that does not mean Buyeo will join alliance with Goguryeo. Ju Mong asks Daeso if that means Buyeo and Han will join hands, and Daeso says if necessary then he will. Ju Mong warns Daeso if Buyeo joins hands with Han then Goguryeo will have no choice but to attack Buyeo and Buyeo citizens will suffer. Daeso says not to threaten him, but Ju Mong states Buyeo is a nation which has killed his father, and his mother, but he is willing to join alliance with it, throwing away his hatred in his heart, because he wants to destroy Han nation, and he wishes to do so together with Buyeo.

Jumong-episode-76gYuri tells Yesoya he is now a personal guard of Buyeo king, thus he can wander around the palace without trouble, and Yuri asks Soya what it is that he must find. Soya says inside the Buyeo palace there exists a chamber where the deceased concubine Yoohwa used to live, and inside that chamber is where the proof Yuri is to find. Yuri asks what the proof is, and Soya says it is a broken knife. Yuri asks what exactly is the meaning of such broken knife and who was the one who gave it to him, but Soya answers once he finds it she will explain it to him. Next, Yuri who is now a palace guard dressed in guard attire wanders around the Buyeo palace at night, but Prince Biryu spots him out and asks Yuri what he is doing. Yuri says he is new and got lost, and Biryu goes up to him to ask him why Yuri let him live in Buk-ok. Yuri pauses and replies he is not sure. Biryu wonders why, but says he is impressed by Yuri’s skills, but if they meet again then he will surely win next time. Meanwhile, Jaesa and Mari meet with Ju Mong, to tell Ju Mong that King Daeso is now meeting with Yodong’s governor. Jaesa says he is concerned by such meeting, but Ju Mong says he already made clear his stance, and Mari says they have to hurry and return to Goguryeo since things are uncertain. Ju Mong says since they came to Buyeo he must visit Cheon-moo mountain. Afterwards Jaesa asks Mari why Ju Mong wants to go to Cheon-moo mountain, and Mari explains Cheon-moo mountain is where General Haemosu died. Budeukbul checks in with Daeso and asks if he’s made a decision yet. Daeso says he is still considering the options and Budeukbul says whatever Daeso decides he will follow it. Next, Naro comes in with news that the Goguryeo people have asked for permission to go to Cheon-moo mountain. Daeso says to allow it, but Naro summons Yuri and tells him to go and spy on the Goguryeo people by the Cheon-moo mountain and to come back and report anything suspicious. Prince Yeongpo finds out Ju Mong took a trip to Cheon-moo mountain and Yeongpo is elated thinking this is an opportunity from heaven. Hwang asks Yeongpo if he is confident he can kill Ju Mong, and Yeongpo says not to worry.

Jumong-episode-76hJu Mong and his men arrive atop Cheon-moo-san where Haemosu was killed, and Ju Mong sets up a memorial by the cliff and begins bowing before his father’s spirit, while Yuri is watching the actions from afar. Ju Mong takes some time to remember his master and father Haemosu and his teaching, to become one with the weapon as if it’s your own body and blood the moment you grab the weapon. Ju Mong tells his father he is here today fighting a difficult war, and Ju Mong confesses to his father that he is unsure whether or not he is doing the right thing by offering to join hands with Buyeo emperor who killed his father..Ju Mong asks his father to help him make the right decisions and get on the right path, as Yuri continues to spy on him from distance. Ju Mong leaves the cliff, and Yuri stands, but just then Ohyi has a sword on Yuri and Ohyi brings Yuri back to Ju Mong. Ohyi report to Ju Mong the boy has been spying on Ju Mong and Ju Mong asks if Daeso sent him. The trios say Daeso must be scheming something against them thus they should kill the boy and return to Goguryeo at once. Ju Mong tells Yuri to go back, and Ohyi tries to stop Ju Mong, but Biryu says the boy has no one with him thus he is not a real threat. Ju Mong looks at Yuri and tells him to leave, and Ohyi gives Yuri his sword back. Yuri leaves as Ju Mong and his men watch, but as Yuri gets away, he notices a group of masked assassins heading up the mountain, and Yuri turns around. Ju Mong’s men asks Ju Mong what he will do and Ju Mong says he will return to Buyeo palace to make another attempt for truce with Daeso, and the group starts to leave the mountain, just as the masked assassins are nearing and Yuri is running back as well. The assassins catch up to Ju Mong and his men and the two groups begin fighting each other, when Yuri arrives and starts to fight off the assassins as well. Ju Mong notices Yuri as he continues to fight off the men, and soon, Ju Mong and Yuri are facing the assassins, with their backs against each other.

    TO ALL
I know this to be out of place. Please bear with me. I just want to create awareness by choosing the busy forum or the latest.
Do consider Dr. Martin Bautista for the next elections obviously (a senatorial candidate of ‘Ang Kapatiran’ together with Adrian Sison and Zosimo Paredes). He’s a 44-year-old gastroenterologist in the US who came home after 17 years. You can see from his background that he truly means service. For those who find him to be a hypocrite for working abroad, do understand he’s a family man who needs to sustain his family, that he will be able to keep his independence by not relying on public funds to support his family. He helps his countrymen in his capacity but it’s just not enough for there are millions of Filipinos. It’s a good start in Philippine Politics to have him and his party around.
I urge you to forward/text/inform all your contacts about them. I believe they only lack exposure that’s why I’m doing this. But I can’t do it alone so I’m appealing to everyone’s help. If all will inform their contacts about them and urge them as well to forward, we might hit a million.
We cannot afford to be indifferent now if we want meaningful change. Otherwise we only have ourselves to blame. BUT TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
