Paradise Philippines - a ‘Bayanihan’ SEO Contest

SEO Philippines‘ Marc Macalua launched an innovative SEO contest that caught the attention of Filipina Soul. It’s got culture, travel and tourism written all over it.

It’s not just an SEO competition, it’s a tourism-motivated move to boost our country’s image as a place of beauty, by using an age-old Filipino tradition to get bloggers working together. Totally brilliant!

The SEO contest is dubbed “Bayanihan SEO Philippines“. Patterned afer successful previous Filipino SEO contests, this recent launch takes the competition up a new level.

First, the SEO keywords are Paradise Philippines which should boost our country’s beautiful spots and place the words Philippines, paradise and tourism higher up on Google.

So far, prizes total P600,000 and probably going up as more sponsors join. And there are chances to win at each ranking checkpoints.

But what’s truly unique about this contest is the ‘bayanihan’ spirit behind it. ‘Bayanihan’ is a Filipino tradition of accomplishing a seemingly impossible feat by team cooperation and unity. In this instance, SEO Philippines is “breaking new grounds by introducing a team-based point system that will revolutionize the way all future SEO contests are run.”

For more on how the Bayanihan Point System works, and other contest details, hop over to macalua.com. And hopefully, many will participate.

    such a noble goal,
but a better one for the whole Filipino nation is to focus on the problem why tourists (and backpackers) don’t come to our dear country

so many things, want me to list them all?
my travel blog would look like a rants blog :(

This is a great idea, if only other people around the world thought like this.
